It is just that the GWS team is such a financial hole and the AFL is making a decent profit thereby needing an easy an convenient place to put large sums of cash.

I'm open to a donation from the AFL!

Any team that had him as their $1 million marquee signing has more money than sense. They were destined for a long period on the crap heap after that one.

Thanks for the info BBO. i knew it was out there.

Had a lovely afternoon eating superb food with the family clan.

Yep pretty much WYL knew what you were on about there is a difference in making money to pump it back into the game and just making money to pay shareholders etc

Adam...think beyond. pls

Not as what it was , but if brought up to current standards of ameneties and able to hold say 30000 ppl

Its a good size, it has scope and its in the right location ( of sorts )

crap ground blzb, no train station, car park entries on to one main road. Its got a cemetery like feel; & the inside layout is a disaster. Its too wide, & not long enough. and traffic jams all around.

The only thing nice is the tree lined boulevard.

couldnt pay me to attend the Dome..

I agree BlzB another with poor atmosphere

Stuie needs a wagon to push ,preferably about something he is only slightly informed about .

So he can educate himself by making ridiculous statements which are then refuted .

GWS are the laughing stock of the town why?

•They have a 6 million dollar tagger.. who isn't even that good at that either.. oh dear..

•They are known to give alot of verbal to opposition opponents who then only to turn back and laugh back at them. Who does these kids think they are? Spoilt arrogent brats.. what have they got to give lip service for??

•I played in a Ovens and Murray country game with fev in it that pulled 8000 people through the gates.. go figure.

•Why the hell would you start your All Australian FF in the backline!?

•Josh Kelly is the next Brownlow medalist who will make Melbourne pay aaand we were stupid for giving up pick 2 for Dom Tyson... Josh did NOT even touch the ball yesterday. . Wasn't injured. Another Melbourne draft mistake.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
