So Riley is on the LTI, but who else is likely to go on it? Clark? Dawes? Wonder how far off Jamar truly is from playing.

The Cats put 3 on their's the other day, however they are in a good position to blood young rookies due to all the experience they have.

Clearly we don't have the inside information on Mitch Clark and his current issues but if an assessment is made that they can't be satisfactorily resolved in the short term, then perhaps he should be put on the LTI in the hope that he will come back fit and refreshed for the second half of the season.

In the meantime, this would allow Georgiou to be elevated in his place and reward in form Neville Jetta with a place in the team for round 1.

As much as we would all like to see him fit and refreshed and playing, this is a team sport and we need to look at turning the situation to the team's advantage and give players like Georgiou and Jetta their opportunities.

Wadr WJ theres ni hipe in hell that Clark currently presents as anything other than LTI (at best )

Even doinf lazarus its be months before he could don a 1st's jumper now.

Best to put him directly on the list and leave him be.

so we have 2 vacancies now as I see it. It just is :(

I can see demonland going into meltdown when Jetta gets upgraded and takes JKH's spot in rd 1 as our crumber.

Georgiou is the common sense upgrade to play as our 3rd key defender.

Not likely to happen on yesterday's form.

Jetta was good as a small defender and JKH had an ordinary day. Mind you, it's hard to be a crumbing forward when all the play is in defence and your midfielders constantly pass the ball backwards to the opposite defensive flank or into the back pocket to a one on one or straight to an opposition forward.

No inference at all. It's just that my auto-translate app isn't working and I was having trouble with the first half dozen words of your post but I did get the gist of it. :)

Anyhow, it wouldn't surprise if there were two rookie elevations this week and the inclusions of Georgiou and Jetta will IMO prove to be more valuable additions to the team than many would think.

Love me some Alexis Georgiou

Cult figure in the making and will play round 1 for sure

It will be really interesting when Garland is back, can Garland, Frawley, Mcdonald, Georgiou, Grimes, Terlich and Dunn all work together, or does a Garland or a Dunn potentially go forward?

Mcdonald was also drafted as a CHF

Pretty sure he was drafted as a versatile tall who could do either end.

Exactly, we are light on for tall forwards but tall backs just now we are doing alright, i reckon Roosy would be considering that.

McD up forward. Gimme some of what you guys are on

I reckon Frawley, Garland and Georgiou can hold up as a solid backline, Mcdonald and Garland could interchange as the forward option, i believe both have the capacity to play either end

    DERAILMENT by KC from Casey

It wasn’t quite a trainwreck although at times, it sure looked like one, so I’ll settle for “derailment”.  The trip to Brighton Homes Arena in Springfield outside the back of Brisbane might not exactly be the same place where Homer Simpson’s family resides but, if you listened closely to the utterances of the Casey Demons fans both at the ground or watching via livestream, you could hear lots of groaning and plenty of expressions of “D'oh!” reverberating in the background, particular

TEN YEARS AFTER by Whispering Jack

Things have changed in the more than ten years since the West Coast Eagles decimated Melbourne by 93 points on the MCG early in the 2014 season. The two sides had not met at the home of football in the interim until yesterday when Melbourne won by a comfortable 54 points to remain in contention for this year’s finals series. Back in those days, the Demons were in the midst of their Great Depression but they have since tasted premiership glory and experienced a long enough period among

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs West Coast

It’s game day and the Demons return to Melbourne to play the Eagles at the MCG for the first time in over a decade. A win keeps the Dees finals hopes alive whereas a loss will almost certainly slam the finals window shut.

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well
