The countdown until he is poached by a WA club.

My best friends is a mate of Jesse and i am told he loves Melbourne, loves Roosy, loves his time at the club and She would be shocked if he walks anytime soon, apparently we fly him back to perth for visits quite regularly so homesickness hasn't been an issue

not worth worrying about

probably won't happen and if it does, we will be compensatedI

I agree it is not worth worrying about but it would have to be pretty good compensation. Here we are talking about a player who may be considering his 3rd club and has not played a game yet.

Agreed. But at the time it was a kick in the guts when you're down. We are still down but I think I see light..........please.

Damn, I was seven years old sitting in my brothers Ford Anglia listening to our last flag, that was fifty years ago! He was there. Please let there be light.

Also, to be fair, Hogan is a way more exciting prospect now than Scully was at the same point, ie pre-season of his debut year.. we were excited about him but Hoges just seems a way more of a sure thing and given his poisition is less replacable than a 'dime-a-dozen' midfielder.. so i feel ya

Before lists were announced for this game, i didn't think Geelong would play names like bartel, kelly or selwood.
They're playing quite a strong list, practically complete except for a couple of injuries in christensen and one other was it? i think...

Point being, i hope the boys still come out the other side of this match with confidence.

I Live in the Geelong Region and I know its " just a Practice match ."

But for every long suffering Demon Supporter who has to live here. :(

I just hope the DEES can pull of a Upset

"Practice match or not "

It would be ever so sweet :)

Would rather it this way. What's the point of winning against a half-strength powerhouse and gaining false confidence? That we might claim victory, or at least be highly competitive, against a full-strength Geelong would be an even greater confidence boost to our list (especially with a chunk of our best players missing).

No one's kidding themselves though. If Geelong are there to win, they won't be rolling over.

7 seasons, 9 losses to Geelong (6 at skilled, 3 at the G)

generally around the 10 goal mark

yes it would be sweet even in a praccy

btw this season will be only the second time in 13 years we dont have to go to Geelong

Casey will be devastated!

Glad to see you've absolutely rested on a new whipping boy since the departure of Bennell.

I would like to see the continuation of the game plan. The score is of secondary importance. This way I can still be happy if we lose.

I think I have been following Melbourne too long. How long is too long? Four flags in my lifetime, mmm not bad really, now i'm talking to myself.

Put in that perspective, I'm the lucky one. But consider this. I have tasted chocolate and I know what I'm missing. You can only imagine................it is better than that. Much better.

Was I incorrect with Bennell?

Not during his time at Melbourne.

Let's see what he can do at the Eagles this year.

Let's also see what Pedo can do under Roos this year, old.

I heard he's not a big fan of living in WA anymore and thinks the place is boring and he loves living in Melbourne .

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
