You get a like from me but I suggest you do a spell check on this lest you incur the wrath of one of our more uppity posters -

This game represented what a man with a vision and a man with a reputation bigger than Ber-Hur come together and fuse a successful off-field structure with on-field belief.

Never seen such ferocity, ball movement and a willingness to RUN to back and forth to get numbers to a contest. I was amazed at how we were handballing from one to the other within the tight contest and then free up movement to generate a clearance and deprive the opposition of possession.

My name is Gorgoroth and I enjoyed a MFC game...

It's only been one night but I think I may be on the road to recovery.

I expect here will be lapses but I'll stay on the path as best as I can.

Clearances

Vince 5

Tyson 4

Cross 4

13 we wouldn't have won last year.

With a functioning midfield and some fit forwards we will worry a few sides.

NB: Tyson will end up our best clearance player.

Stuck out for me also. We had players around the contest who did not panic and continued to be creative and create options.

Also the almost complete absence of long kicking.

Isnt it amazing what you can accomplish when coached in the how of doing something and given clear instructions as to implementation.

Whod have thunk !!

We now have professionals in charge where only amateurs reigned previously.

I don't understand how a team can let a player like Vince go.

If you read the views of Adelaide supporters they say he'd coasted for 2-3 years and that the Vince who played last night was quicker, slimmer and had more intent than their recent version.

He's had a kick up the backside and with his inherent talent will be huge for the club this year.

On last nights form we got a bargain.

Was not near a tv but I heard the twits on mmm say Bail was hitting targets and Pederson and Nicholson were reversing into packs.can anyone verify these things?

Bail played well with a couple of very average set shots. Pedo and Nicho both played with intent and took a couple of big hits

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
