All about Mitch Clark

All the Jacks

Recommended Posts

I think we have to calm down and look at what is in front of us: the season hasn't begun yet, so all that needs to be sorted is Clark on the LTI (if required) and his own personal issues and his rehab.

There is only speculation on anything else at this point. They will be answered when decisions are being made towards August/Sept.

There is nothing to be done on this for months.

Many MFC supporters, myself and OD included have stuck through far worse than the loss of a player. It is, above all, a team game

i don't mean the loss of clark, I'm referring to what he brought to supporters in the darkest times, and how it might have appeared so much worse had the prospect of clark and a few others not given us some hope. thats why i think he has been a valuable person at our club.

What an indictment on demonland that the two threads had to be merged due to certain posters not understanding the concept of "support". I'm ashamed to share the so footy team as some of you.

Mods too, poor form. So much for trying something to support one of our own.

Stuie - the mods merged the threads formally but they were already filled with the same stuff.

Whether one sees it as realism and strategic or cold and snide.

Your positive message would be lost on here anyway; players should not read this site.

It would have been pretty cool to keep the thread positive and then link it to Mitch's twitter or something

The idea was to have a thread of positive messages of support that could be shown to said player. The problem was there's not enough maturity here to make a decent cheese let alone understand that concept.

spot on. some pretty self centred posts. too many people worry about money and disregard happiness and well being.

Stuies thread was a great idea and never should have been merged with a thread about offloading Mitch because he is injured, what's worse is that people who claim to be demon supporters couldn't embrace the chance to say something positive and vent on another thread, i mean it really isn't that complicated.

are you crazy or just plain dumb stuie

no player should be on demonland (same for other clubs' forums) nor should a poster encourage it

are you naive enough to think a player could come on and just view one thread? FMD

There's plenty of support in this thread for Mitch.

Relax, stuie.

Please stop supporting a system that is not working.

Not working for who? Not working for the self-selected group that is Demonland, or not working for the club?

It's a competitive sport, it would seem logical to give out as little information as necessary.

When they're injured or unfit, they don't play, when they're fit they do. About all we need to know, surely.

Most clubs have away of figuring out what the real situation is ( with other clubs) Not much gets by in that trade un-noticed. There are grapevines etc

I for one dont like being treated as some gullible idiot. Theres no requirement to post scans or detailed medical reports but a little bit of up front reality and honesty wouldnt go astray.

Noone believes 4 to 6...no one believes practically anything from the FD. Thats a funny sort of partnership with their membership id have thought. They want us all to buy in ...and literally to BUY in !! Then a bit of quid pro quo id ask.

mate there is no point having a forum if you block the opinion of certain people arbitrarily - besides, the players are under instructions not to read sites like this, for very good reasons

Here's an idea: why don't you, or someone else for that matter, sift through the merged thread and select some of the most positive/supportive posts, compile them into a word document and email it to the club. Then they can pass it on to him if they reckon it is appropriate.

I really like Stuie's thread, but imagine if Mitch read the post and thought I like this site lets see what else is on here.... it probably would not have helped our cause.

Really looking fwd to the season to start and hopefully some better times will provide a better environment for the players start to realise some success. I think there are quite a few supporters on here who need to show a bit more respect to our players who have endured the past 2 years, in particular those who has an impact in games against all odds. When Mitch does return he should not have to do superman efforts to lift up for a team low on confidence.

True, but instead of sending him a link to this site (which I hope no player ever reads), sending him all the positive comments in another form couldn't hurt.

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm
