What happened to his stalker?

Greg's been playing cricket the last few years in the south east and rumour has it the stalker is still a bit of a touchy subject!

With all these ex-Swans or Roos connected people on staff now, what happens when his contract finishes about the same time theirs do?

They'll probably all leave because they only want to work for the Swans and if they can't they want to work under Paul Roos because he was at the Swans. And when Paul Roos leaves they'll all quit their jobs i reckon.

I think it was Aaron Greaves.

Dont think so

Greaves was a midfield assistant to Royal

While being a Ruckman can be deemed as playing within the Midfield I don't think we had anyone who taught the art of Ruckwork

There has never been an era in football where getting first use of the Footy is a disadvantage

Stafford was a good Ruckman for the Swans and Tigers in his day

Roos would not hire someone who cannot teach such an important role

Roos has hired football people who have shown demonstrated ability to teach and coach and the Swans connection is obvious

Hiring coaches who are only known by reputation is not hitting the ground running so i think it makes good sense to hire people you know really well

I'm sure as soon as Roos moves from a Senior Coach role into a Director of Coaching role, all his previous assistants will have a desperate desire to be unemployed...

Just like what happened when he handed the reigns over to Longmire at Sydney.

I beg to differ.

Greaves spent the majority of his playing career as a ruckman, and he did confuse supporters at times by having more influence than the other "development" coaches.

I think his role would have included the ruck coaching.

Had a very little bit to do with Greg in the past in relation to kids footy.

Although his AFL knowledge and experience is obviously considerable, many parents wouldn't have even known he was "Greg the ex-footballer". He keeps his ego parked at home, and allows us with lesser knowledge to coach etc...uninterrupted.

Unlike Jolly, this guy won't cause a scintilla of trouble. Like Jolly, he crept forward a bit to sneak a goal or two.

Again, Roos/Stone obviously sanctioned this; and with that alone, you can't complain.

It Greaves me to think nobody can remember who coached our rucks this year.

On the other hand, I'm not surprised.

Based on results this year it didn't look like we had a coach let alone a ruck coach. Edited by DemonOX

Didn't John Meesen become ruck coach after he "retired"? (Retired in inverted commas because I'm not sure whether he was delisted or voluntarily quit as player).

Did Meesan ever play for us or was he just on the list?

Poor guy actually found some form and was just starting too look like at least a nice back up when he did a career ending injury after only a couple of AFL games. I think he was harshly judged and was a skinny kid who was always going to take a long time like most rucks.

    With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals.     The Mighty Demons take on the confident Cats this Saturday night at the recently completed $319 million redeveloped GMHBA Stadium, with the bounce of the ball at 7:15pm.
