Huh. I hadn't noticed that the other clubs didn't have their emblem on the jumper until just then... Weird

Clever of the club to have the 'Flash Sale' in the morning to offload some old stock just before announcing this news.

I liked the stars and the collar tbh

St Kilda, Brisbane, Suns, Carlton & Meth Coast do. Pies had it in their Flag year of 2010. I don't mind the emblem or the stars but really all I care about is that we always wear red and blue, the home jumper for home games and either a reverse of the home jumper(red with blue yoke) or the old light blue and red of the 70's/early 80's.

Fookin hate the white jumper and we should not half to wear it but don't get me started on that

How about an actual demon in our logo?

This new uniform will make a statement!

"I really liked the Gladiator style the jumper had."

Yeah, looked like Gladiators, played like Christian Martyrs thrown to wild beasts.

The stars have the effect of announcing that we have not won a flag for half a century.

It's a cry of desperation rather than a grand display of triumph.

I can definitely understand the stars, but I actually liked the collar. I'm glad they've decided to stick with the logo as well, I honestly don't understand the dislike of it, if I had to guess it's that people just can't stand the idea of a Schwab relic being on there. It doesn't have to be on the jumper, but I see no reason to ditch it at all.

I agree, just take the logo off the jumper. I don't mind the collar, it could just be much smaller than it is now.

I didn't like the collar because I imagine it wouldn't be all that comfortable to play in--and thus might have had an (albeit minor) effect on the way we play, so I'm glad that's gone.

A lost subject PSD

If they start winning the white jumper will look terrific!

Yep, everyone is playing footy and we are playing dress up in the sandpit and crying...

A bit like one of those tired, ratty pubs with a huge banner declaring it was 3aw's pub of the year in 1992

I shudder just that little bit more violently every time I see "Next years guernsey" without the apostrophe.

I think the presence of the emblem could impact on the value of a major sponsorship.

Hankook (LD) took serious exception to it decreasing the value of what had already been paid for.

If this is a furphy, then I agree with your post, except for the stars.

I saw nothing wrong with them either, or what they represented.

Actually, thinking about it now, it's like that was for some of the struggling supporters, so they could say to their kids and opposition supporting wags "see? We used to be great! Look at all the stars we've won in the past!"

It's obvious PJ is making a totally clean slate

Shows how bad things really were.

That makes no sense whatsoever.

Gold star for trying though.

Small minutiae. Hawthorn have the colors of bodily waste. It doesn't stop them from winning.
However, if you ask me my opinion on the Schwab cosmetic changes (and as a white male in my 30's, I am biologically predisposed to shoving it down all and sundry's throat):
Get rid of the collar. (See my later comment on the blazers).
I don't mind the stars so much but don't mind if they go.
I have seen us with a logo on our jumper pre 2011. We had one in 2004. I don't mind either way.

Get rid of the bloody blazers. Or if you don't, at least complement them with a straw hat, shorts and knee high socks. If you want the boys to look like private school tossers, you may as well go the whole nine yards.
The basics of the logo aren't so bad. The problem is it tries to, as CS was wont to, jam as much historical crap into it as possible. When Jimmy was still with us in 2010, he spoke of bringing the Demon back into our logo. Unfortunately, CS, whom like Nosferatu strikes fear into the hearts of all MFC supporters, got his claws into it and the demon was gone. I wouldn't mind us getting a logo that incorporated the old Chinese demon. It's a personal thing and I doubt it would catch on but I would love to see that logo again. It's the first club logo I knew when I started supporting the club.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
