Holy crap....
Seems very sudden as far as his tenure goes (there have been rumblings however). What has been going on behind the scenes there? Did he subscribe to the same line of thinking that Mark Neeld did? What the bloody hell is going on? I thought 2013 was the first year of their rebuild and compared to us, they were down right respectable!

Unbelievable.

Even more so given the comments he made this morning on radio. This. Morning.

"St Kilda coach Scott Watters has maintained that there was "massive upside" and "a very optimistic feel" about the Saints team he was leading despite reports that the club's football department was fractured, with substantial conflict between Watters and football chief Chris Pelchen."

"Speaking on Radio SEN on Friday, Watters said suggestions that his relationship with Pelchen was strained were "almost laughable".

"Chris and I are absolutely perfectly aligned from a list-management point of view and that really was from day one," Watters said.

Some players would be shitty now that trade period and free agency is finished.. Nicky Dal did the right thing.

I feel for Watters though.. Wasn't he on SEN before saying that the president had told him he was there for the long run?

Something not right..

If he was going to be sacked on the same day, how could the higher ups let him on the bloody radio to talk about the club? It sounds like something we would have done during our 'red and blueprint' era.

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full
