Heard an odd whisper today...just a whisper . Wasnt really much to do with footy but seemed to line up with the OP. Seems an intermediary may have had a word or two.

we need more than 2 or 3 new mids. who knows. A reasonably talented kid starved....... sounds like someone's favourite type.

funny ol' world lol

What about Adams, Tyson and Miles for 2 and Jamar.

They desperately need another experienced ruckman and Bellchambers and probably Mummy are unavailable.

All three of their boys want to go home and we could keep 3 mates together.

Sorry Redleg, Jamar is worth very little if anything. They'd probably want Gawn above Jamar.

And has Mummy signed again with Swans? Talk GWS are into him bigtime.

Is Miles really that good..?

I played footy with Anthony as a Junior mate and he is absolutely worth picking up, good size, hits the ball as hard as anyone i have seen and is deceivingly quick, would be straight into our best 22 in my opinion and would only cost a third round pick potentially, he is far too good to be rotting in the reserves anywhere

Apparently, his name has been revived in despatches and the fact that he played at the Oakleigh Chargers with Jack Viney wouldn't hurt out chances of attracting him.

I just have this feeling that GWS wouldn't mind having a dominance over the top of the draft table as it has done in the past two seasons. A super trade that includes him as one of two midfielders coming to Melbourne in exchange for pick 2 and/or a player would not be beyond contemplation.

Dom Tyson and pick 10 from Giants

Pick 2 & Sam Blease from MFC.

I'll sign that off

That sounds closer to the money. No chance GWS would give us Tyson AND Shiel for Pick 2 and Blease. This one is at least more realistic.

We then keep Pick 10, trade our two second rounders for Myers and Vince and we start to have some semblance of a midfield.

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs West Coast

It’s game day and the Demons return to Melbourne to play the Eagles at the MCG for the first time in over a decade. A win keeps the Dees finals hopes alive whereas a loss will almost certainly slam the finals window shut.

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well
