Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>

Dank is now going on the pub circuit with his next appearance due in Ballarat - Dank set to speak, but not to ASADA

Of course, he would put everyone out of their misery if he went public with information about what he gave the Essendon players during the supplements programme or gave it to the Bombers (who own the information) so that they can pass it on to ASADA.

I suppose he needs the pocket money he'll be getting for appearance.

Wow. Just an observation, but there have been literally 1500 posts on this topic since I last visited and, from what I can tell, almost nothing has changed... Not being critical of anyone on here, just observing how this seems to be just going in circles...

Probably due to the fact that the investigation is subject to bureaucratic processes and the understaffed investigative authority is receiving no co-operation from a number of parties that are possibly wary of self-incrimination. It took a long time to get Lance Armstrong and he also had his cycling federation, a team of lawyers and media groupies looking after him.

Easter and bureaucratic (bungling?) matters A Federal Government decision is likely to delay the ASADA doping investigation have seen this thread relegated to page 4 of the board but the story isn't going away - Panel ruling imminent on Stephen Dank

If, as anticipated, things don't work out well for him, Dank is going to try to delay the inevitable through proceedings in the Federal Court (expensive but it's his right to do so). The delays won't be welcome by the Essendon players implicated because, apart from having to work their way through the strains of the uncertainty surrounding this saga, there's a possibility that this will drag on into a period when the maximum penalty for anti doping violations becomes four years and not two as is the case now. Two years is tough but four would be career ending (although it's not clear whether the four year maximum would apply for offences that took place in 2012).

Essendon chairman Paul Little says self-reporting to ASADA may have been a mistake

I think whilst self-reporting allowed the various authorities that needed to get involved, it gave them an unfettered access to the football club, to individuals and to everything else ~ Paul Little

Not quite "unfettered" Mr. Little. They weren't given access to the records of what your club injected into your players.

Perhaps if that would have been done we might have been a lot closer to the final resolution of this farcical situation.

Might have been better all around hadnt someone tipped them off and ASADA had hit them cold and unawares.

Little simply doesnt understand truth

Oh he understands the truth, he is merely trying to distract the public away from it.

We all know records were kept...Dank told us he has copies.

40,000 injections over 3 months.

If they get nothing its a disgrace

it will be interesting to hear if McLachlan talks about "the integrity if the game" as much as Dimitriou did, especially at the start of his regime.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
