Not quite. medical Mal practice is there for just the basic f-ups !! accidental or negligent... doesnt matter thats why its there

I confess Im not au fait with the possible nature of professional insurances that EFC have but I wouldnt think it matters good bad or indifferent..Its an insurance

There's a difference between being negligent in a workplace and acting illegally.

Surely malpractice wouldn't cover wilfully illegal behaviour.

but lack of record keeping esp if deemed deliberate (not kept or destroyed) would not impress an insurance coy looking for loop holes

insurance in reality is nothing more than wagering ( both sides )

I was talking to an essendon supporter yesterday, all I have to say is DELUSIONAL I asked how long he thinks players will get his answer, nothing it's all a media beat up and they will be playing round 1 guaranteed, I was like ok then

Of the 6 or so Bombers' supporters I know all are dead certain that it's a beat up. Without fail, they worship Hird in the same way Kim Jong-un is idolised.

Not quite so

Depends what the actual insurance to date was for I would imagine. I only used medical malpractice as as an example, wasnt suggesting this was such a case. Just suggesting with insurers they'll write up a risk assessment for anything and charge accordingly. Ive no idea what policy the EFC are pulling down on to date , but they've got one , because it's paying up.

Information taken from the Essendon FC annual report

16. CONTINGENT LIABILITIES

The Company is in discussions with external and internal stakeholders in relation to

claims or disputes arising in the course of business. At this point in time, the amount

of liability, if any, cannot be quantified.

Really as we in DL would expect this figure to be in the tens of millions.

If the AFL fined them $2 million for governance/bring the game into dispute. What would be the fine for having an illegal substance program?

Let the good times roll and the fines and payouts grow!

18. SUBSEQUENT EVENTS
No matters or circumstances have arisen between the end of the financial year and
the date of this report which have, or may significantly affect the operations of the
Company or the state of affairs of the Company in subsequent financial years.
34 Infringements to current and past players clears does not count?
Time to increase your contingent liabilities as they is a coming!

Non-current 2014 2013

Other liabilities 1,100,000 1,600,000

So they paid only $500,000 of their fine to the AFL in 2014. But clearly did not plan to pay anything of the fine in 2014, as they classified the debt as non current.

Again they plan not to pay any of the fine in the next 12 months.

Its interesting when you're self confessed absorbed watcher of all this how the narrative seems to wax and wane throughout the whole sordid affair.

Hird...I take full responsibility >>>>>>>> actually hes taken none

EFC... We welcome and will assist any investigation >>>>> we'll fight you on the beaches we'll fight you in the streets ...and especially in court

EFC...We dont know what they took or were injected with ( as if ) >>>>>> whatever it was was safe

This lot could get senior jobs at the Orwellian Ministry of Truth

But Dank is truly the master of double speak on the fly.

Apparently when in a Football World he refers to Thymosin...he means the "good "one ...or according to him Thymomodulin

But when you look on his website any and all references to Thymosin are acually to Thymosin Beta 4 (Tß4)

Then we have the all important pic of the real stuff...via Wallis..of whatever it is

and to think you can just go get this stuff off the shelves.....well sorta...not here granted...but why involve a compounding chemist if all you're after is >>>

Did the directors sign off on this annual report?

Are they mad? (rhetorical)

The photo has been widened in the middle by widening a vertical strip of the "original" photo".
The characters MO have been added, and also com/gen.
It looks like the numbers may have been changed.

The question is who did this and why did they think it would fly?

I don't see how having a vial of thymomodulin could clear the players, it's still not proof they didn't take tb4 just that they happened to have another drug at the same time

Did you drink beer the other night?

No!

Prove it!

Here's a bottle of water from the same rough time.

something isn't right . . and it worries me!

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm

    DEFUSE THE BOMBERS by Meggs

Last Saturday’s crushing loss to Fremantle, after being three goals ahead at three quarter time, should be motivation enough to bounce back for this very winnable Round 5 clash at Windy Hill. A first-time venue for the Melbourne AFLW team, this should be a familiar suburban, windy, footy environment for the players.   Essendon were brave and competitive last week against ladder leader Adelaide at Sturt’s home ground. A familiar name, Maddison Gay, was the Bombers best player with

    BLOW THE SIREN by Meggs

Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    GETAWAY by Meggs

Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval. It promises to be keenly contested, though Fremantle is the bookies clear favourite.  If we lose, finals could be remoter than Rottnest Island especially following on from the Dees 50-point dismantlement by North Melbourne last Sunday.  There are 8 remaining matches, over the next 7 weeks.  To Meggs’

    DRUBBING by Meggs

With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    GARNER STRENGTH by Meggs

In keeping with our tough draw theme, Week 3 sees Melbourne take on flag favourites, North Melbourne, at Casey Fields this Sunday at 1:05pm.  The weather forecast looks dry, a coolish 14 degrees and will be characteristically gusty.  Remember when Casey Fields was considered our fortress?  The Demons have lost two of their past three matches at the Field of Dreams, so opposition teams commute down the Princes Highway with more optimism these days.  The Dees held the highe

    ALLY’S FIELDS by Meggs

It was a sunny morning at Casey Fields, as Demon supporters young and old formed a guard of honour for fan favourite and 50-gamer Alyssa Bannan.  Banno’s banner stated the speedster was the ‘fastest 50 games’ by an AFLW player ever.   For Dees supporters, today was not our day and unfortunately not for Banno either. A couple of opportunities emerged for our number 6 but alas there was no sizzle.   Brisbane atoned for last week’s record loss to North Melbourne, comprehensively out

    GOOD MORNING by Meggs

If you are driving or training it to Cranbourne on Saturday, don’t forget to set your alarm clock. The Melbourne Demons play the reigning premiers Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields this Saturday, with the bounce of the ball at 11:05am.  Yes, that’s AM.   The AFLW fixture shows deference to the AFL men’s finals games.  So, for the men it’s good afternoon and good evening and for the women it’s good morning.     The Lions were wounded last week by 44 points, their highest ever los

    HORE ON FIRE by Meggs

The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals. They brought tremendous forward half pressure, and our newly renovated defensive unit looked shaky.
