FIRE UP FRAWLEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Frosty Demon

Recommended Posts

I don't know if AFL coaches give sprays anymore but if I was coaching Melbourne, Frawley is one bloke that would get it all. Well for the last four years his performances have been terrible.

Now I know he is probably a lovely young man but if I was coach, I would give him the biggest bake before the start of the next game. If he didn't come out and play the house down then it is time to play in the twos or trade. Your meant to be an all Australian chip! start playing like it, because those who know football can see that your an imposter. Stop looking up field and blaming those around you and take the game on. Bloody have a dip mate, show some leadership and rip these last four games apart. Either that or its time to go. I hope you prove me wrong.

Bit hard against 10,000 inside 50's and no pressure up the field every week, he probably is the best full back in the comp really and the thing that has changed is we have gotten worse.

Just a heads up Frosty....

If you are going to get stuck into arguably our best player for being "terrible" the last four years, you might want to remember that he was an AA in 2010. And that he has a significant hamstring injury that will prevent him from 'firing up', as you say, for the next 3-4 weeks.

'Terrible' is how I would describe this thread.

How's Frawley gone this year. I remember games on Hurley (Ess), Jones (WB), Franklin (Haw), Hawkins (Geel), Petrie (North), J, Riewoldt (Rich) and Tippett (Syd) where all those players barely won a one on one against Frawley and made very little impact on the scoreboard or game.

At times he's looked a little under the weather and despondent but it's hard to blame him.

I've got him down for only one truly bad game for the year and that was against West Coast and on the guy who is leading the Coleman and probably the best forward in the comp right now and that's Josh Kennedy.

Frawley is our number 1 important player and must get a contract extension to stabilise the club. If I'm the new coach of Melbourne the first thing I do is go straight to Frawley and getting him extended.

And he does it against a ton of supply, he really is a marvel, to suggest he has been no good is way off the mark.

Spot on mate....

Frosty Demon - imagine being in the back line for the MFC, every centre bounce you know its coming straight back down. Frawley and Garland should be the last people that get a bake, how about the blokes that continue to make blatant mistakes that result in goals!!!!!!.

I guess your interest in the club doesn't extend to knowing that our best player, which Frawley is, is sidelined for the rest of the season.

He's also one of the few, the very very few, who was back to his best form just prior to when he got injured and would therefore be way down the list of those deserving of a spray.

Maybe put a bit more thought into the targets of your sprays.

Interesting he seems to have really picked up his form since Neeld was sacked, i wonder if those two really didn't see eye to eye

I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!! AA in 2010 well lets all go back to then shall we. Has been poor since then and as a few coaches I remember saying you are only as good as your next performance. I guess in this modern age you can have three years of no results if you got an AA? No where near the best full back in the comp. Point taken on the hamstring tho, if that's the case. Just saying tho folks; we cant keep living on our past performances and we cant blame those around us. Frawley needs to fire up! Get this too him.

News to me and your coaching career would be short IMO

Playing in the Melbourne back line would seem to be quite a task

Frawley is one who i believe is the first player picked in our back 6

Okay, will get the message to him post haste: "Frosty Demon says you need to fire up".

I think you'll find a more receptive audience to this nonsense on Facebook.

Chip's not a leader.

Frustrates the hell out of me sometimes.

Ignores first options and disposal is iffy.

Having said that, we need to offer him five years and keep him locked in the office until he signs.

Yeah i agree with his disposal being iffy, but i think part of that is noone runs nearly hard enough to give him some decent options, him signing up would be a huge boost for our club, it is vital we keep him.

After the last 7 outstanding years at the club he is probably waiting on the coach etc to be filled before he would even contemplate extending his contract.

This is probably why PJ hasn't offer an extension yet cause there's no bloody point with all the vacancies at the moment.

I thik he will extend once he knows that either Roos, Eade or Chocco will be coach.

I would love for PJ to come out and say he has sat Chip down and told him how important he is to us, the bloke deserves to know that even though the team is going badly we appreciate he is one of the guys who gives his all and gets great results, same with Jones and Garland.

    SLIP SLIDING AWAY by Meggs

It was a sweaty, slippery night at Cazalys Stadium, a tough slog with low scoring and missed opportunities.  The Hokball Hawks hung on to win by a goal and sit second on the ladder, relegating the disappointed Demons to, almost certainly, finals spectators.   We had to win this match. When news broke of late withdrawals of talisman Kate Hore and key back Gaby Colvin, expectations plummeted, and Demon fans despaired.  The bad news was the signature song of 2024, a season that’s
