Watching this game with the gold coast is one of the more painful things i have ever done, it raises a very serious question

what can we do to get out of this hole? if there is anything.

What war chest? The one minus $1.5 mill? We have no 'war chest'. Pay out Neeld, Craig and most of the assistants and we are minus $2.5-3mill.

Assuming Neeld is not going to survive this, it may be our last crack at a coach appointment, we need to get it right.

Maybe Garry Lyon can sit out on the next coach being appointed.

Either we back Neeld to the hilt and go through the draft again or we sack him right now and bring in someone else.

If we think the players are to blame, then we keep Neeld and get new players.

If we think Neeld is to blame, then we sack Neeld and back the players.

Either way we need to make our choice now.

Do we have five players out there who have dished up acceptable performances?

Do something.

Do something, to persuade the supporters, the sponsors, the players and the League not to sack the club.

Why do we have to pay them out? You don't perform you get released.

The obvious answer to me is to only play the players who are desperate for a place in the side. Sellar has been gifted games because of some perceived utility or maturity that is supposed to make him more use than the other similar players in the side. That stops. Davis would have given us much more today, simply because he is all competitive all the time. I've never seen a worse case of white-line fever. We can't keep on putting in these slack performances. Players who coast or who take their spot in the side for granted need to learn that playing for the MFC is a privilege and if they can't be bothered putting in 110% every time they put on the jumper they can play for Casey. There are a bunch of guys who would kill to play in the firsts, and it's time we let them.

If you want to feel normal again, just stop watching us. You have to disconnect with what is actually happening.

Either that or start following Hawthorn or Geelong...

The most humane thing the club could do for its supporters is to ask the AFL for the rest of the year off so as not put us through any more miserable weekends in 2013.

Does anyone even care anymore?

I care - I'm shattered.

I care - I'm shattered.

Really? I was shattered after the first round. Shattered doesn't describe what I feel now

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
