why do you say that clint? was there an announcement?

i heard grimes was officially put on the lti today, so why do that if no uplift?

I think that they have up till Saturday if they want to upgrade him and name him in the side.....

Does Grimes have to miss 8 weeks or 8 rounds?

Would love him back for the Dogs!

Also - does anyone else think we may believe Clark's injury to not be that bad (I.e. less than 8 weeks hence he wasn't put on the LTI.)

Seriously mate, there is no need for that.

Why?, your post intimated there was something untoward going on, bit sick of hearing that on here, so you wore it, apologies if reaction was too rough, but I have received worse from the O's

I am normally positive, but this is just more superficial crap from the MFC.

Keep the promotion behind close doors and start worrying about winning games.

Getting over their spin.

Couldn't agree more!

It's also a statement to say "we don't believe Trengove can do it". I'm also sick of the bloody fans, 2 years ago everyone was screaming for "Captain Jack [Trengove]" to replace "Green" by which the year before they were screaming his name. So now again when the going gets tough they all change their minds and scream for "Jones". The club needs to stick by their guns, it creates a poor culture if they keep changing this crap around.

Edited by ignition.

I would say so - from what I could gather the pin that was inserted to help his lisfranc was giving him issues not the area that was repaired.

And I can't answer your first question without a copy of the CBA or a competent sports journalism industry, and I have seen neither.

I don't recall many fans calling for Trengove to be captain, as it was and is still a pretty radical move. I remember a strong chorus calling for Grim\es as captain, and he has taken to the role fairly comfortably.

Actually I can very vividly remember the calls to make Trenners captain, as that year showed particular guts and determination in tackling and 1%ers. Greens leadership was waning and there were a lot of people calling for the club to be bold. Well they were and I don't disagree with it. It was about time the club went for something other than the safe option. The idea with these two is the fruits will be born in 3 years time when the core has developed with them up the front for the entire time.

Happy with this news. Think they both deserve the extra responsibility and will handle it well.

I think the players will get behind Jones and if he does a great job and the players are responding in kind then one of Grimes or Trengrove may have to settle for a lesser role, whatever the outcome it will be a good thing. I'm sure there are many on here who feel this is overdue, well let's see what Jones can bring to the table.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
