Trying to make the best of a bad situation, bring on Magner if Clark can be put on the long term list.

I think Magner, or Couch... Couch'ys gone really well on the weekend, & I smell an inside mid coming in soon.

Fe Fi Fo Fum, I think I can smell a giant soon too.

more tanking list management?

If he needs 4 or so weeks to rest his foot, they may as well remove the pin now, & elevate a fit player. Clark will need to regain fitness after his rehab.

In doing it now he has more time this year to re strengthen the foot, prior to doing the next Pre Season, & then Hopefully he can get right thru the pre season.

Doing this may just help us get off to a good start next Year... Clark's Lisfranc was always going to be a difficult one.

Lucky we have the Misson on the Job.

This is wise player management. This season is all about player development.

Mitch is a star and it should all be about being ready and injury free for Round 1.

As mentioned it will open up a Rookie Spot for most likely Magner, which our Midfield will benefit.

It also allows room for someone like Fitzpatrick to have a crack.

It will be good to see Dawes and Fitzy coming into the side.

I expect the club to experiement a bit over the coming months in the foward line as a result looking for someone to step up.

Might even help Watts more.

doom and gloom on 360.

i'm really hoping it's not going to be the case.

Yeah that seemed a bit over the top in my opinion. The club knows what Mitch is worth versus what he offers playing this year. He will have all the time he needs and all the support possible. Robbo was just being dramatic. I wish he'd stick to talking pessimistically about Essendon's investigation. Now that's a story that needs some added doom and gloom.

We are writing the book on how to go from bad to worse.

Is anyone annoyed that we paid a guy big bucks and twice now he has had to miss half a season due to injury. Look I Mitch has been great and I like him but I guess im just frustrated that he is injured once again. Why cant it happen to one of our lesser good players. I know it isnt his fault and he would want to be out on the park.

Im just frustrated because he started off well and his marking is really good and he provides a target. Now if we bring in Dawes people will say we rushed him back to early.

Why cant we just get a break on something

Cant we sneak Hogan in. Hurry up 2014

Because its melbourne!

Interesting that from last year we all thought Howe would be a good HF, & Watts settled in the backhalf...

Now Howe may go into the Midzone, & maybe eventually onball, & watts may replace Howe as a 3rd tall hff.

amazing how things change from one month to the next.

Sometimes I think that being dead would be less painful than being a Melbourne supporter.

Now we totes won't make finals.

Of course it would be! Being dead is less painful than everything. That's the whole point!

Has to have minor surgery,

The season just got a whole lot worse, the bloke is on 600k to 700k a year and has played under 10 games for the club. Dawes still hasn't played for the dee's. God its frustrating we cannot win a trick this year

Why oh why didn't our hopeless recruiting team foresee this :-((((( Sack them now, along with the coach.

It is getting there that can often be painful.

.

Do you mean that $ulky, having bled GWS of all their cash, now wants to commit to being a Demon for life (again)?????

Pedersen's got nothing to show.

This.

Cant wait to see big Chris Dawes in the team , and have always been a fan of Fitzy.

watch Mark Neeld play Jamar at full forward ...

Because no-one ever plays or rests ruckmen in the forward line. Leuenberger getting 3 goals against us last week was obviously an aberration. As was Giles' goal the week before, Cox's 3 the week before that, and no point even mentioning Bellchambers' 4 and Ryder's 1 the week prior.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
