Cheers guys. Is it worth posting another thread to create awareness with regards to what happening on friday?

Yep, perhaps with a more specific title eg rally round the boys at treaining on Friday morning. Or something, I can't make it Friday - have meeting i can't shift but will wear red and blue in solidarity.

Top work.

Just posted this over at 'ology

"If anyone knows of ways to advertise this 'event' widely, now is the time to tap into your resources. It is about gathering around our boys in a show of solidarity. It is about support. It is a symbolic gesture intended to communicate that we will see this through together. "

I believe an achievable outcome is 150 - 200 supporters... but, just for a moment let me dream... What if 1000 supporters turned up? Wouldn't that create unprecedented publicity and make the football world sit up and realise that the MFC is alive and well and able to deal with it's problems and move onward and upward? 1000 supporters at training on a Friday morning... what would that mean to the playing group? How would that galvanise the group? Are there any other dreamers out there?

All being well I will have a look, however I am expecting as many media as Dees supporters.

I think it imperitive that we get former greats along to training this week as well. I'd like to start with the three that appear on my avatar. Just need to know when and where and I will make it my business to invite them.

my daughter and l will try to get there, l was really angry at the start of the week but have realised the club just needs support and not being put down. ( this means YOU all Jack Watts haters)

Love the feedback... special mention to those prepared to take time off work. I usually park under the Swan St Railway Bridge (2 hour limit) and walk a few hundred yards to the ovals. This area fills in by about 9:30am. If tomorrow is busy, might have to park further East along Swan St and catch tram.

I'll try and make it, parking is a problem. But worth the effort.

We should all wear some identifying feature. Todd Viney bandana?

Let's swell the numbers... Bring your kids, it's still school holidays. Hell, bring the whole school! I rang my sister and she's coming in before work. It's also a good idea to contact other friends who barrack for the Dees. Most people will make the effort if a friend asks directly. Don't leave it to chance... make the call!

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi
