A CLUB IN CRISIS ... THE AFL MUST STEP IN

One more piece of news from me.

I was told bysomeone who works at the club, that the club was shocked over how many payers asked to e traded last year.

Some left, but there are still a handful who asked to leave , but are still playing in the team

??? I'm shocked they were shocked. Players wanted to go to other clubs that are either successful or be just wanted out of the MFC horrible culture... No really?! Who has there head in the sand?

One or two posters were saying this as early as the begining of last year. It has been my opinion alll along. I wish I could name names. Edited by Muvver Jones

If they ask to be traded, let them go.

They are useless if they don't want to play for the jumper.

Who cares where we pick them, offload them.

If Frawley is one, and thinks he can be a running backman at another club, off ya go.

We have a few untouchables.. Howe, Clark, Jones, Viney, Tom Mac, Grimes and Blease.

If anyone else asked to be traded, I'd open the door for them.

Players will be keen to leave this year, because Moloney, Pettard and Rivers will most likely have good years

and it will give our players an excuse that they aren't that ordinary.

But, truth is, Moloney would've had a decent year if he stayed, but he would've still bombed it into the forward line with no direction.
Pettard still would've turned it over and Rivers would've killed it like he always has when he's got on the park.

They will step in on Monday morning my friend.

RR - I heard something similar on Thursday night from a friend attending a meeting launching another league. He told me than within the next four weeks, the AFL will step in and there will be many, many changes. I had my doubts on Thursday but its seeming a possibility after yesterday.

Yep Jane, it's only logical. We are damaging 'the brand'. And that's pretty much the beginning and the end of it.

Why can't you name them? Does it matter at this point?

Not naming them but can be idenfied as required players. Players with some experience. If things dont change quickly it will come to the stage where we have to restart almost from scratch like GWS and GCS. Edited by Muvver Jones

Let me name the dead wood for you: Sylvia, Jamar and Watts. There are also players like Tapscott, Gillies, McKenzie, Byrnes and Rodan who will not perform without a complete change of coaching and game plan. I am also convinced that we need to drop those who do not want to put in and play the youth: Taggert, Tynan, Kent, Barry, Evans and Davis. Play these guys and see what they have got. Drop a couple off the main list and upgrade Couch and Magner. Both those guys would kill for a spot in our starting 22.

The AFL just spent months damaging this brand while saying that everyone else that tanked was ok, maybe they should look at the damage they are doing to the brand. by the way where is the drugs investigation going besides nowhere, so if essendon players are found guilt do they loose any premiership points?

Rock Bottom.

They've all got to go.

Neeld's pre-match address was mind-bogglingly inept. Poor bloke's lost the dressing room. Got no idea.

McLardy, Schwab ... on yer bikes. Resign now for the good of the club.

Or we go the way of Fitzroy.

What's your agenda RR? You trying to kill the club? Would you find that satisfying in some demented way?

Or are you just trying to be the 'know all' on the site again ...

Cop a tip - it's not actually about you.

I think what he was saying is you can criticize all you want but if you don't have any alternative suggestions then you're no better than those you criticize.

What part of the AFL will need to step in don't you understand?

These jokers couldn't run a primary school fete.

Gotta agree. I have never made negative comments about another poster but I am going to now...

Range rover you seem to take a perverse glee in the club's darkest hour. Stop sticking the boots in. We all know about the massive issues we are faced with so give it a rest. Don't let your negative karma bite you I the arse is all I can say.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
