I went this morning at 9.30, but couldnt find anywhere to park for the life of me.

I ended up giving up, after I spent 30 minutes looking.

Does anyone have any parking tips when we are at Goschs Paddock

Driving past Bubbledome, then past Gosh's Paddock and through the traffic lights (swan st?)

Immediately through the lights on your left, is a coin-pay carpark. Literally 75m through the lights, on your left. Or you can park under the bridge for free, but its a 2 hr limit.

Mitch Clark & Trenners doing repeat sprints. Both look to pull up well apart from Mitch gasping for air. Good signs

Not surprised he has probably not run out of sight in the past 8 months.

It is hard to imagine seeing him in the seniors this side of May

You might be right OD, but if he can take a stationary role at full forward or CHF and lets Dawes do most of the running around that he tends to do, then running fitness shouldn't be too big an issue... he could do those short sharp sprints to take a big mark/spoil a pack; that is, as long as our midfield isn't feeding him too much ball of course :-)

Hardtack, you do not play in the AFL unless you are 100% right, especially when you are a valuable commodity like Mitch.

Well if I was an opposition coach i would be saying its game over already. get his opponent to run him into the ground, provide an extra man downfield and he will be slowly starved up forward.

we have to get him back to full fitness then play him. Unfortuntely a bottom side cannot carry blokes.

Kinda disagree, I think bottom sides are the only clubs that can afford to carry blokes into fitness. Top sides can't afford to do it, because it could be the difference in winning or losing, or even %. Generally this is less important for clubs down the bottom of the ladder.

Edit: That is not to say that a bottom club *WOULD* do this, as they could play another player and give them a run.

We have Dawes, Pedo, Fitzy, Watts (if need be), Sellar.

We don't need to play a tall forward who isn't 100%.

Do you guys really think that AFL players are ever 100%?

They all play games with some niggling problem to manage.

Interesting term 100% billy.

In my view a player that has done no running for 8 months and has just started doing sprints will not be fully fit for another four months.

Otherwise why do all players start full training 4 months before the first game.

On that basis he will not be 100% till at least the end of June.

I find it hard to believe he will not be played before then if his foot is ok.

So IMO he will play at less than 100%

PS of the above only Dawes is even in the same league as a key forward.

Sellars is probably 70% the player Clark is. With that in mind, it is smarter/safer to play Sellars at 100%, than Clark at 70%.
