Toumpas.

And, while it's the same for me every year, I have to say once again, Colin Sylvia.

How do you deal with that perennial disappointment Ron??

More a 'what' than a 'who'

Would like to see the whole team display a 'Never say die' attitude in every game . A 'Never give in' stance doesn't take skill or any god given talent . It's a mindset which all our players can display .

The players have got to want to be successful and a hatred of losing should be shared right across the board .

If we do that, there will be plenty of excitement .

I agree Macca ......... and to add to that, if the players don't bring that attitude to every game they will find themselves playing at Casey more often than not. Our (seemingly) improved depth, and Neeldy's uncompromising attitude, should guarantee this! That's an exciting prospect in itself.

Did someone judge what a post says by reading the first 4 words?

He is talking about Tynan and Taggert being overlooked when they have a year on Barry, Kent, Terlich, and Jones.

I agree, I am keen to see what that little fearless bloke Tynan can do with his new rig. Although he has a ways to go yet.

Both of you missed the whole point of the thread. It's not "who do you think might excite you next year if they take the next step"... It's "who gets you excited".

Yeah fair call mate, just trying to bring it back to realism, we have so many threads that have turned into player predictions.

There can be no argument here, it is subjective.

<====== this guy right here (Viney)

But am also looking forward to what the senior recruits like Dawes, Rodan and Byrnes bring to the mix, am looking forward to seeing how Watts and Trengove go- the "could be's" in Tynan and Taggert- looking forward to seeing who will lock down that small defender role- how our new recruits in Terlich and Kent fair.

Also looking forward to see how our new forward line functions with Dawes and Pedo coming in. Hoping Clark gets back to his best and another mid steps up ala Jones.

Does that fit the criteria of this thread Stuie? Just checking :P

Because we have seen very little of them,I think Taggert has taken the AI title from Grimes.

Thank god I might add rather him at present than Grimes

The thing is though stu, some people get excited about unknown quantities like Taggert and Tynan. It's not completely baseless as we've seen glimpses of Tynan that show he could become a very capable footballer. But to a large extent it's unknown what they coud be, or what 2013 could have in store for them. That's exciting.

Yeah I get that, just wondering why we have a "memory like a sieve", when there's no actual memories there in the first place...

Toumpas running down the wing

Viney in the middle

Clark and Dawes up forward

Just can't wait for round 1 see how fit the boys are and if they can upset a few teams with the hard in and under football we need to win games

Yep 'dof' , you'd reckon all the listed players from 2012 would know exactly where they stand now . Witnessing 15 of their teammates being 'moved' off the list has got to be a eye-opener for many of them . The new arrivals to a large extent won't know any different so the adjustment for them shouldn't be a factor .

Has there ever been a club go from one coach to another where the coaches in question are such polar opposites ? It's any wonder so many didn't cut the mustard . Paul Roos said it best when he talked about the first 3 to 4 years of a draftee being the most important years . He talked about how any coach can have a huge effect on a draftees development and how after that initial period of years it's difficult to change a player . We witnessed a bit of that this year in my opinion .

If all our players are prepared to work as a team and be selfless and have strong disciplines then we'll improve out of sight (of course nowadays it's called a 'buy in' or being on 'the same page' ^_^ )

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
