Lets imagine Toumpas & Wines along with Whitfield aren't available to us @ Pick 4, who next would you prefer @ P4?

I'll list some player options from the expected top 10. And some big guys may turn out to be Mids.

Who would be our next inline for what we need?

strange thread....come on Thursday.

Can we get garry ablett senior to come out of retirement and be twenty years younger for this hypothetical?

Feeling confident we'll get who we might want come Thursday. There will be a number of well credentialled kids available when its our turn and it should put a nice bit of icing on the cake. Not fussed and happy to leave with those in charge. From where I sit they have made significant change which is never easy , bold and required courage. From these actions its evident there won't be more of the same from last year and immediately prior.

I just heard that the AFL predicts we'll snare Jimmy Toumpas.

http://www.afl.com.a...13/default.aspx

Really looking forward to seeing how things pan out on Thursday. It seems like a lot of prospects have either risen or fallen in the rankings in past few weeks, with notable examples in Twomey's mock being Stringer, Grundy, Plowman and O'Rourke

Stringer, unless Toumpas is available i would have Stringer next in line.

It's interesting seeing that Twomey has Stringer sliding to Collingwood at #18. I would have thought that he was a lock for a top 10 pick.

Grundy or Plowman. Our list would benefit by securing either the best 'big man' or the most talented defender in the draft!

Can't see Stringer going down that far but if the 'Pies' get him it will be a major win for them. If he slides there will be a lot of unhappy supporters at clubs next year, a little bit of Darling hindsight will be going on.

I do rate Grundy, but I can't imagine any scenario that would see us taking him. We already have a lot of young talls that we rate highly, and midfielders need to be our priority at #4.

I think the Dogs will take him, and if not them, Richmond.

Alot could unfold, Menzel and Stringer could be genuine chances at both our pick or GWS's imo both rated top 3-5 minimum on talent by many just injured and we have seen these types the Judds and Selwoods come back and say Really? you all missed me ? i just dont think Wines is the top 4 talent with these guys floating around

out of grundy or menzel, grundy will be the best ruckman in the league in 5 years time, and menzel could be anything, just too many questions over his knee

theres talk that clubs might not even take a risk of garlett now, would love him but without the baggage

MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
