I'd like to think there's a difference between match fixing and tanking.....

Tanking is when coaches tell players to not perform at the best, to gain better picks.....

Match fixing is paying players/umpires, for the result to go your way...... so you can make a profit from gambling....

They are hardly the Sam thing.....

P.S. MFC never tanked...... We were/are that bad.....

The real story of this Wilson driven malarkie goes way back to when a young Cam Schwab was working late in to the night at Punt Rd and had to give an interview to the new footy girl for the Age.

lets just say things got more "revealing" than Cam was intending.

He has never been able to talk to her since but she keeps calling

CC perhaps, because he may have told the room of 15 of the implications of loosing and made threatening comments. There is a rule covering coaches inciting coaches and players to loose.

But I don't know what rule CS is supposed to have broken. Tanking is not an AFL rule.

I don't have a view on CS. Never met him and while he has done some good stuff for the club I am concerned about the number of people that don't like him.

But he does deserve to be treated fairly. Either there is compelling evidence he has broken an AFL rule or there isn't. As yet I have seen any.

CW article this morning proves she has an agenda, and so everything she has written this week should be ignored.

good post, my main concern with CS is in the late 90,s he rorted our salary cap, then he left to go to the Dockers then poached Jeff Farmer from us, and 14 yrs later we seem to be in another serious breach of AFL rules, under his empire, the man seems to put a lot of people off side, i for one one as loyal demon supporter never forget the Farmer incident, the sooner he leaves the club the better, he might be a good be a goon bean counter, but thats were it ends.

I admit I've been wrong about C.Wilson

Initially I felt she was reporting only what was occurring behind the scenes and finally coming out.

The last few days' writing however shows a dedication totally above and beyond the gamut of anything remotely approaching objective reporting and seems to have descended to the level of jihad - totally dedicated to the achievement of a pre-conceived outcome and to hell with any precedent consideration

It's interesting to compare and contrast Patrick Smith's approach in The Australian today

" Melbourne was not the only club and 2009 not the only year"

Wilson writes as if the matter is decided and the only issue where to erect the gallows

The Club should be allowed to present it's side of the matter without this sort of interference preventing a fair defense

I'm very disappointed in the biased presentation of this matter in the Age

Maybe it is time Gina Reinhart took over

No response to my request ADC , why am I not surprised?

It will be interesting what CS and CC have to say after this is all over. Cant wait for the response. Its fairly obvious why Scully left now, apart form the cash and if I was him id probably wouldnt want to be at the club either.

Dean Bailey although not all his fault when pressure comes to you can be a person that gets walked over eaily. The players did and I bet Neeld was in charge and club people came to him about losing to get draft picks neeld would give them a very solid response back and wouldnt let it happen.

I agree, he and Hazyshdesofgrinter have no interest in the wellbeing of the Melbourne Football Club only the destruction of those that deposed them from their positions of power. This is all about revenge from them and from Wilson.

Can I ask those that continually refer to her as Caro please refrain from doing so, that signifies a degree of affection and familiarity and I can feel absolutely no affection for this conniving piece of garbage.

no don't ban them. They can still read the forum regardless & pass on info, if that is what is happening. Let's just see how much cred they have.

This is exactly why i don't like seeing posters like Rangey banned from posting for such long periods. He is a passionate supporter who wants to see his club suceed.

We need all those people right now.

This journalist has crossed the line. It is one thing to tell the public a story, but this poo she writes is personal and bile of the highest order. I hope the money men and women who support the dees go after this shyte of a journalist and hit her with legal action whatever way they can. She should never have access to this club ever again.

That's fairly embarrassing to get shown up by Craig Hutchinson. I just hope we can see a repeat performance once this is all over.

he had her on both knees, poor bastard, imagine that.

I apologize. She is now to be referred to by me as Wilson or (VM) Vendetta Mouthpiece.

Don't resort to personal insults.

Exactly ,there is no need.We should comment only on her football journalism ,which is shoddy and pathetic enough .

Her looks and gender are irrelevant .(to the subject)

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
