The ink hasn't even dried on Gram's termination letter yet. Anyone who thinks there is any possibility whatsoever of him playing in the AFL next year, has no idea how dim a view AFL clubs take on players who have been sacked for behavioural problems. Especially when they're in their late 20s and not in the top class of player. His career is over.

Thats a good point but fev was the biggest tard of the lot, and he got a couple of chances.

Gram will certainly be frowned upon, but i think he still has got some good footy ahead of him.

particularly if he gets his [censored] together.

No to speculate too much but he was dropped I think Rd 22 or 23 last year because he breached his restraining order or AVO with this girl and St Kilda were notified and thus suspended him. Been suspended since.

Now the second breach, he's not just looking at no AFL club he could be a serious chance of a conviction if not jail time.

Can you explain to me how Jacobs nominating North means that we can't pick him if we have a pick before them?

It doesn't, but at the same time he is no standout, and there are players ahead of him in the draft and on the trade pile, so why bother picking someone who doesn't want to be at the club?

Cruize Garlett (NM) 23, 32 Pacy midfielder with neat skills who is handy around goals. Too many similar types at North; could thrive if given a starting role.

Sounds like a good fit for the MFC to be honest.

Only downside is we have a habit of always taking the sh#t brother.

sam lonergan is a close mate of mine I went to school with him in tassie. He is the most dedicated person I have ever met and he will provide toughness at the contest and never shirk a contested ball situation. Someone who works his butt off and can kick goals when he goes forward. For mine he is a perfect pick up and thats not because I am biased but I believe he can offer us a lot.

We don't know that he doesn't want to be at the club. All we know is that he has expressed a preference for North Melbourne in much the same way as Mitch Clark initially expressed a preference for Fremantle a little over a year ago. If he's available under our draft system, we have every right to go after him if we're interested.

As soon as I said that I was waiting for that comment. I agree if we want him we would have no qualms picking him up, I just don't think that he is anything special, having said that I've only seen little footage, and now I've said it what's the bet he turns out to thrive under a new location

Don't worry about the listed players. I'd be re-drafting Jai Sheahan kids of his size, ability, & attitude don't grow on trees! Don't let that one go!

Sheahan wont be re-drafted by the Dees, its over. Got that on good authority.

I thought he was worth another year,he had more upside than Cook.

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
