Gilbert just smash MFC, over Jurrah.....

Said he heard rumors that MFC don't like the culture that he brings to the club.....good fit for Port Adelaide......... A far more respected club anyway!!

I'm already upset about losing Jurrah.... My son cried over Jurrah.....

Gilbert [censored] off!!!!

What?minority shows kicking the MFC while down for cheap sensationalism........NEVER.

Maybe the MFC should highlight some of these lies.Baying for MFC blood has become sport.

But parasites like denham et al. need cheap shots to service non relevancy.

This flies in the face of everything I've seen at the club and the things that Rude Boy, one of his mentors, has stated on this site. If what McAdam is reported to have said was actually stated by him on the programme, I trust that someone will be given a right of reply.

It's a touchy subject, part of which remains subject to future court proceedings, but it sounds like McAdam has accepted rumour and innuendo to slam the MFC without considering Jurrah's conduct and what he's given to the club that employed him over the past 12 months.

Well to be fair, attacking people with machetes isn't exactly the type of culture I'd like at a football club...

And one Port Adelaide would be comfortable with. :P

Would you expect Marngrook to do anything other than support Liam in his decision? Their loyalty is to indigenous footballers, not the MFC. They have an award that no white man (or Asian, or Fijian, or Samoan, or . . .) can ever win, for Christ's sake!

I welcolme minorities being given a bit of the spotlight for once, but I wouldn't turn to Marngrook for unbiased coverage of an issue like this.

that show rubs me up the wrong way at times, i understand its a indigenous football program but why the hell when they are showing the teams for the week do they have to highlight the indigenous boys? can you imagine the up roar if the footy show highlighted all the white fellas?

(P.s Im a proud half Aboriginal, but at times i feel that we are quick to throw around the race card but we can be just as bad!!)

Gilbert shut your mouth you idiot, you have no idea!!

This is total BS. I think the club has done everything they could to support Jurrah this year and to be honest I think he's made some really poor decisions that would create obvious animosity between parties. Regardless of the legal incident lets look at Liam's handling of it:

- Comes to Melbourne after the arrest and runs to a rival club president to a do an interview without notifying the club. They only find out hours before it airs.

- After the club puts a lot of resource into his recovery and his personal legal issues he leaves the club for SA only notifying the club once he's already there that he's not playing out the season.

- Quits the club for good but has obviously been discussing other opportunities behind his current employers back and makes them look foolish with the way it's announced.

I for one can never and will never understand the complexities of Liam's personal situation and I genuinely feel for him. The reality is that he is employed with a group of 40 other players and the club has to be seen to be operating in a way that is fair and balanced. I think anyone would understand that different individuals require more room to move than others but you can't continually disrespect your employer. He could have handled things better and he chose not to and those decisions are his and his alone.

I support the attitude that he hasn't been good for our club culture this year. He became too much of a distraction.

McAdam went off half-cocked & uninformed over the Mifsud / Neeld / Davey story as well so this would be no departure from form

The more you watch the show the more you realise - Gilbert does not think.

I've now had the opportunity to watch the programme and what Gilbert McAdam said was that it was important for Liam to be surrounded by his family and that he (McAdam) had "inside information" that Melbourne were no longer going to support him; that it was getting too hard for them in terms of the culture he was bringing to the club.

Melbourne has issued a statement saying that it will continue to give him its support.

Somebody's telling fibs.

that or someones full ot it ;)

im guessing

Melbourne footy club bent over backwards from what I understand and they have a the gall to say that. Unbelievable...

The Marngrook show is actually in the main quite interesting as they do spend a bit more time on the football as opposed the circus. But there are definitely aspects to it where the views are , how shall I put this, a little one dimensional and self serving

Gilbert McADam has done for sensible football commentary what Mozart did for Panel Beating .

From the outside looking in, it would be hard to argue that the MFC has done anything but throw enormous support behind Liam when many others may not have. I hope someone at the club calls Gilbert up on this, and see if he can back up a statement like that, which would be unlikely considering the bloke struggles to construct a logical sentence at the best of times.

Lot of people are not aware of this but Liam was asked if he would commit to Melb. He couldn't. If he is consistent in what he told Melbourne, he won't commit fully at Port either. Neeld, Mahoney and one other were less than happy and was effectively sacked by the club. Jurrah's manager then got on the front foot and said he walked.

I've no doubt that's exactly how it happened.

I don't really blame him for walking or not wanting to commit. His life is a mess & by the looks of it after march next year he may not be able to see his family for a while. Family always comes before football & I hope Liam can spend some quality time with his family over the next few months. It was likely that he was never going to be able to 'comply' with the new FDs demands also, I think the writing had been on the wall for him for quite some time court case or no court case.

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
