This song means nothing to me.

I cant wait for the day that this music really does die .

Corny ,crappy, Middle of road nonsense.

I would have killed someone if they played that song before the game .

It's like the Afl have it in for me .

Marching band was god awful! That guy with the stick at the front has the easiest job going around. Do the powers that be not understand we are at the footy and myself and a lot of others are eating pies and drinking beer? You think about it, you are having some drinks with ya mates at home or at a pub and after a few one of ya mates says "Hey lads you wanna check out that marching band and then swing over and see a trumpet player?" Pffffft!

Damn straight CFH would rather a dodgy cover band belting out Walk or 5 Minutes Alone might scare the little kiddies who were brought up on Backstreet Boys though ;)

Thank god they didn't actually start marching. When I saw them defiling the hallowed turf, I said to my grandpa that "if they start parading around the MCG like some American highscool band club, I might just end it right then and there."

it just gets worse and worse...my brother and i were praying it was an AFL and not melbourne initiative...

Thank god i was out the back of the Blazer bar and missed it. Just got to see the trumpeter on the way back to the seats. Still cringeworthy when it's set up out the front of the members. Better when it's played from within the crowd, but will be much better still when the player wears a grunge t-shirt rather than a velvet jacket.

Haha!! Marching Bands were common place in the 60's & 70's.

Took me back to those days. Was it good entertainment? Meh..

Just goes to show that being traditional is sometimes a very bad idea.

I would love some Pantera when the lads run onto the G. Or to keep it modern some Machine Head would make my day. But you are right there are way too many of the backstreet boys floating around. I grew up with Pantera and Sepultura and turned out fine but I have to go now my chicken's head isn't going to be ripped off by itself and I must pen my 80th Kill your grandma song.

Just when you thought our pre-game couldn't get any worse we had a marching band play the club song then the stupid trumpet guy as well.

I didn't go today so Ii missed that.

If they keep tormenting us fans with this crap solo wind instrument at games, I won't renew my membership.

I'm so [censored] off with this pandering to the svelt cloth, I'm over it. Rubbish in velvet.

Look after your fans in the outer.

Apparently the cheer squad was going to knit our banner in a tartan crochet as well but canned the idea when they feared our players would struggle to negotiate it.

Unbelievable.

Does the club know how much we hate the trumpeter? Surely they do. It's cringeworthy, embarrassing, downright stupid, and just disliked generally. Get rid of it.

A marching band is just pathetic.

HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
