Players who grew up supporting the Dees

The sentimentalist in me would like to see one game a year where current AFL listed players play for the team they grew up supporting. Given three elite players in Judd, Franklin and Pendlebury all apparently barracked for the Dees we'd have have the start of a very strong team, however i'm not aware of many more to select from. I've started a team below - can anyone help me complete it?

??? Dylan Grimes ???

Jack Grimes ??? Simon Buckley

??? Moloney Andrew Gaff

Apparently, the entire family are big fans and actually, based on the way he's played in the Suns' two games to date, I would like to see the Demons make a big effort to do the right thing by the folks and the lad and organise a reunion.

Without doubt.

Would be a massive get for us. Better than Caddy or Gaff in my eyes.

Thanks for the responses to date. Appaently Lachlan Hansen and Nathan Buckly both supported the Dees also.

Based on some quick research a couple of players suggested above appear to have supported other clubs. (Scarlett - Essendon, Deledio - Carlton, S.Johnson - Collingwood, Roughead - Bulldogs, Brown - Fitzroy, Goodes - Pies, Butcher - Saints)

I have update our team with the other suggestions that I could confirm. (Could not find anything on Lake, Betts or Griffen.)

We are still a players few short of a full team.

With Jack Viney entering the fray next year Prestia wouldn't get a game.We won't be able to fit in all of our midfielders now that are currently on the list,IMO..

Chris Connolly did mention him last week... in regards to a possible poach when his contract is expiring..

Why is Steve Vizard on the Hawthorn list?

Wasn't he on the MFC board about a decade ago?

Gippy

Vizard was a committee member of the MCC until he was forced to resign! (Insider trading: wasn't it?)

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
