Please do not derail this topic with any further discussion on certain players etc...thank you!

Has Beamer lost bulk? Or has everyone else gone up a step? In the first photo he doesn't stand out the way he used to.

I think its the combination of the two he has definately gotten trimmed down but i think he looks fitter and yeah we actually look like a decent sized football team now!

Much appreciated mate.

I've noticed this a few times but does anyone know why Jetta is always wearing a fluro training top? He seems to be the only one that does so.

So players know not to tackle him because of shoulder injury

Is that Morton in the 11th photo with the white hat on?

I was told Beamer was told to loose 6kg at the start of pre-season, which he wasnt happy about.

I posted this last week, Moloney was to top heavy last year and he looks like a to me that he has addressed this. There is a big difference between muscle mass and strength. Just because you have big arms doesn't mean you are strong. It is all about power to weight ratio, some blokes cant put on weight but it doesn't mean they are not getting stronger.

Looks like he lost 3kg from each bicep.

he holds a fair few of the weight lifting records at the club doesnt he? (remember him telling tappy not to get any stronger during a bumps and bruises epp). I'd presume that means he wasnt all bulk and no strength?

I believe Magner would be challenging all records in that regard.

In general, the team appears to be in great shape.

Magner is massive. Can he kick or is he an in and under handball type?

Beamer is interviewed at around 6:10. He mentions that he wants to get leaner in order to cover more ground.

So I don't think he would have been too surprised that he had to lose some bulk.

In his words, "I like the nitty-gritty".

That said, what I've seen on highlights reel is pretty good from a skills perspective, including kicking. I hope he does well.

I was there Monday and yes they all look bigger, So much so that I had heaps of trouble picking some players names

maybe I need better glasses, Some obvious that I recognised easily, the better known players but all the same

its not easy, Some names on those photos, which are great, would help !!

Go Dees give 'em HELL !!!

And if we can improve or maintain his records at a reduced weight therefor increasing his power to weight ratio he will be better for this.

williams looks massive and ready to go...can't believe how much competition there is for big men in our forward line. what a difference 12months makes.

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
