I begrudge him only because i believed him from the day i watched his press conference and declared he wanted to be a one club player! I wish him no luck if his heart was never with the MFC he could have put this to bed a long time ago, clearly the situation had an effect on our season. So what draft picks will we get? Are we any chance to get O'meara?

It's finally over. Well done Tom I never thought a player leaving his club could be done worse than Gary last year, you proved me wrong.

Not the first time either, I thought i would be sad to see you go I was wrong again.

Enjoy your money while we LOYAL Melbourne people enjoy the premierships!

Vlad giveth and vlad taketh away.

What a coward $cully turned out to be skulking off to Syd.

So the GW$cavengers got their boy..I knew once they got their clutches into him up there, he would be naively dazzled by all the glitz and $heedy's "verbal diarrhoea".

Little Tommy probably won't even play against us to protect his feelings, just as Jr. didn't play at Geelong.

Posters that think our boys would rough him up - that's not their style, unfortunately, just watch, they're too nice, they'll hug him like a prodigal son..Seen it all too often this year against teams that have thrashed us.

It seems he went up to syndey and never came back. I highly doubt he had the guts to address the players and Jimmy. Going to the script, it was probably a phone call from his management. A weight has been lifted the MFC no doubt. Glad it's over.

Tapscott straight off the square and bury him.

Meh.

Glad it's over.

Karma is a [censored] and I fully expect Scully to experience very little team success in his life, while he watches his old club play finals and possibly win a premiership in the coming years.

Money does not make you happy.

Good luck Tom you will need it, get ready for a heavy tag each week and a number of 100 point pumpings over the next three years, in fact you will be lucky to get with in 10 goals of anyone for the next 12 months.

As for the MFC we move on, we now seek the compensation we deserve for losing the number 1 pick from 2 years ago, we use this to continue to improve our list whether it is through senior players our more young players.

The end of the day Tom did what is best for Tom and the MFC now has to do what is best for the MFC

Thank god we got Jack Trengove !!

Miles ahead of hime anyway

And not only is he going to be a star, but he's already demonstrated incredible loyalty to the MFC. Yep, let's move on and embrace the wonderful young talent that we DO have...!

Can't wait for melb vs GWS.

Beamer will bury him and tell him to gettttt f'd

then tapscot will clean him up and tell him to get f'd.

The sad thing is they wont. Footy just isnt like that anymore unfortunatley. They will be pattign him on the ass just like the dogs players did with Ward. Its the supporters who hurt more.

Vlad giveth and vlad taketh away.

+1

But he gets off relatively clean while Scully will suffer the recriminations of the supporters (as can be evidenced in this thread).

I just cannot work out why the MFC have not come out on the front foot...Why should MY club KowTow to a GWS Press Conference.

What is the MFC? If they knew anything about this signing why didn't they make noise to the Members????

Not Happy Jan.

Paid up for 2012 btw.

Agree with all the parochialism about Tom. Not really, but hey, it's theapeautic, so he can get stuffed.

But for those who are fatalistic about the football club and are calling this a black day, embarrassing, devastating, etc... let me say this:

The Melbourne Football Club will always be better off with players who want to play for us. If Scully doesn't see our vision, he can go buy a big 3D HD TV in Sydney, to watch our next 5 years of constant rise to premierships. Things have a way of equalising themselves out. Geelong is better this year without Ablett, plus they have enough money to pay all their other players, and 2 draft picks to buy them sustained success for the better part of the next 10 years. If Brisbane could have had the same for a couple of its stars 3 years ago, they would be top 8 now.

So it's not embarrassing. It's a once in a lifetime chance to cash in for $cully. It's not the club's best day, but it's certainly far from our worst.

Well done Tom you have officially sold your soul, limited your career, lost respect from all your peers and become Sheedys little bi*tch!!

Hope your money helps you sleep at night because you clearly have no morals.

This germ is the ultimate professional? What a joke. He is nothing but a greedy child.

Its over and thats good....good luck to GWS in trying to keep him after 6 years on less than 1 million a year.....we just need to be ready at the time to take players of their hands....

Anyway....lets hope we use the compo in a smart way and make the best use of it for the club.

All this talk about Pendlebury and the like forget it..if he leaves the Filth it will be for money to GWS....he ain't leaving the Filth to come to us, no matter who he supported as a kid.

Lets try and somehow get Jack Viney in this draft if possible, so we can have a pick or two for next years super draft.

Gutted. It's a stake to the heart and I am glad that the club informed us as soon as they knew - there was no subterfuge.

I will boo the kid - that is what sport is about. Booing is fine, anything more than that is not.

But outside of the two games we play them - we have to move on.

We are not going to get better as a club by dwelling on why we lost the kid.

So let's get the recriminations out of the way and then go into our most important trade week in its short history.

We need to get a hardened midfielder to replace Scully. And if we can get some older heads aswell then that is great.

I don't know what is available but if we don't get that midfielder with the comp picks we will have pushed back our window a year, it is just the way it is.

I don't say this a lot, but...

Go the Fracking Dees.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
