  1. Its happening looking forward towards the reshape From the MFC Site MELBOURNE ball movement coach Mark Williams, midfield coach Scott West and fitness manager Joel Hocking have departed the club. Williams was the longest serving member of this group, working with Melbourne for eight years, as part of the Neale Daniher and Dean Bailey coaching era. Williams, who played 19 matches for Carlton from 1983-88 and made 14 appearances with Western Bulldogs from 1989-90, held several positions during his time with Melbourne. He was development coach, midfield coach and a three-time premiership winning VFL coach with Melbourne’s then affiliate Sandringham Zebras (2004-06). General manager of football Chris Connolly thanked Williams for his service at the club. Connolly said: “Mark has been a long serving member of the football department. He is a very admired person at all levels of the club for his acumen and character. He leaves with our best wishes, and we thank him for his outstanding contribution over the years.” West, who played 324 matches for the Bulldogs from 1993-2008, was with Melbourne for three seasons, after starting with the Demons in a part-time capacity in 2009. His contract expired at the end of 2011. Connolly said: “We thank Scott for his contributions over the journey. Scott has been well regarded by the players and staff, and has played an important part in developing the club’s midfield. Given the recent appointment of a new senior coach, it was determined that he needed the opportunity to bring in his own people - as Scott was out of contract, a hard decision had to be made. We wish Scott well for his future within the football industry.” Hocking tendered his resignation after three years with Melbourne. He has accepted another opportunity within the AFL industry. Connolly said: “Joel has taken our strength and conditioning standards to another level over the last three years. We thank him for his service, and wish him all the best for his next role.” melbournefc.com.au
  2. With the appointment of an elite performance manager in David Misson and more to follow its going to be an exciting era at Melbourne , the landscape is changing at all levels of the club in order to bring ongoing success . looking forward to the contrast in 2012 GO DEES
  3. i will try Kento80 he is a funny guy if you push him he just smiles and says nothing but when he does speak you listen only because of his track record so far .
  4. I will try to extract more info from my source when i see him next week. He only comes into my shop once a week so i will try to speak to him next Thursday and get the latest. He informed me on three issues way before they hit the headlines and was accurate on all of them but he will not disclose his source which i have to respect . I share your disappointments and frustrations did anyone hear Robert Shaw on SEN he was very pointed by saying its all good to have a new coach with a hard edge message but unless the MFC can change it's culture from within it will avail to nothing . GO DEES
  5. I truly believe that the MFC has ear marked 2012 as a statement year to the rest of the footy world that we are not soft and we will play finals and we will win grand finals for many years to come . All i can say is watch it unfold before your very eyes the MFC will change very quickly and will be a totally different outfit next year . There are moves happening very quickly behind the scenes and further announcements to be made that will have a strong and positive influence at the club .
  6. KrazyJay go you good thing, i think you are on the money to bet on us making the eight next year but if the announcement is what you want to hear and collect keep some for yourself . And when i hear more news from this man i will post it here on demonland . GO DEES
  7. I am surprised nobody took me up on my last post 11/9 when i said that a certain man that comes into my shop on a regular bases has a mate who is heavily involved in the mfc. He told me that Scully had agreed to a 5mil / 5 year deal to go to the gws a month before ox said it on SEN. Then he told me that we where after Clarko many weeks before it came out in the media Then about one month ago he told me that we have our man in Mark Neeld . we have a mole in the MFC. I agree with Whispering Jack it makes you wonder if this whole thing is a show From now on every time this bloke comes into my shop i will hound him for the latest news concerning the MFC then i will do a Mike Sheahan and post it saying you heard it first on demonland write it down.
  8. TOM SCULLY R.I.P Born 2009 Died 2011 See you in Hell at the MCG
  9. I would love to have MM as our next coach but i have this guy who comes into my shop every week and he has been on the money so far he wont tell me his source but says that the person that he gets his mail from is heavily involved with the mfc . So far he told me that Scully had agreed to the deal with gws and one month later the ox on Sen confirmed that . Then he told me that we were after Alister Clarkson well two weeks later it came out in the media that we were after him . Now the latest is he reckons we have got our man in Mark Neeld think of it as you want he is good odds . But i hope its MM he was on the panel of ch 7 after the game and was asked about carlton winning its first final for 10 years his remark was he was very happy for Ratten he actually looked releaved time will tell . Cheers Pe
  10. Hi was listening to SEN after the match and they asked mick malthouse what did you get out of the game and i found his response surprising . He said much along the lines that he was hear today to have a good look at Melbourne then he quickly said and west coast of course but it was in the manner he said it that made me think ? Any one else pick this up or am i the only one hearing things .
