Eddie McGuire says we are a NO-BRUISE footy club!

Don't worry Prymke. We'll have the last laugh when Mick walks out of the coaches box wearing a Melbourne Guernsey, 5 minutes into the last quarter of the Grand Final, with the FILTH down by 40 points!

Lol! I like the way you think Disciple.

Wouldn't that be special!

Eddie is only worried Mick will come to us, and that's why he's badmouthing us.

Little does he realise that presenting us in that light may make us seem the perfect challenge to entice Malthouse to come across.

A club primed with all the building blocks for success, but struggling to emerge from the wilderness because it lacks the required leadership and expertise.

If it's all about leaving a legacy, I can't think of a prospect more appealing to his ego.

Gutless MCGuire kicking others while they're down

Butt out Eddie! You are really annoying me!!

Eddie what are you actually trying to say?? If the filth got smashed by 31 goals, would you do nothing??

Thanks for the pep talk for saturday...It is Carlton.

Agree that this is where we stand. The question then is, an experienced coach or a newbie? If, as we seem to agree, we are lacking leadership/direction, does that necessitate, or at least favour, getting someone like Eade/Malthouse/Clarkson/Craig/Laidley in, or would a new coach still be able to inject this via the leadership group and/or his assistants?

Personally I don't think we have to get someone with experience. I get the feeling someone like Scott Burns could get this group going.

Eddie is trying to fire us up to smash Carlton,

I hope we do.

Agree re: Eddie.

Also agree re: your hope.

We stand a 0% chance, however.

guys I reckon he is right we are playing bruise free football.

I have been complaining for some time that we recruit mainly skinny nice boys.

No Darlings for us, what a ruffian! not at the MFC.

Well guess what nice guys don't win premierships.

It is time for a few hard arse pricks in this team.

We have a habit of shooting the messenger on Demonland.

I think Eddy is correct and we should take note of his comments,

Carlton said the same thing a few weeks back.

Are we the only ones in the band in step.

Not sure if that stereotype suits Mr Mckenzie

Eddie is going to be bad mouthing our club until we have contracted our next coach (unless it is MM in which case he will be badmouthing us for much longer...)

He's clearly trying to have an influence on Mick, and is sounding like in insecure little boy in the process. He's a bloody hypocrite. Every time his name pops up in the media he sounds like a fool, from the Andrew Krakouer incident, to now saying he will sue any club with everything Collingwood's got if they come after Mick. If you want him secured, contract him as a coach, simple as that. idiot

I said "mainly" With the exception of frawley and trengrove I saw a lot of bruise free football On saturday.

As well as numerous games during the year,

Hawthorn, Collingwood, west coast, Carlton.

The list goes on.

We play bruise free football quite often.

Either that or we have a team that has a serious shortage of talent.

Skinny boys can do weights

Does that mean that Malthouse could turn Morton into a hard big tough guy??

I would like to see that!!

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
