Jones was by far our best and tried more than anyone out there and yet he still get put down far to much.

Well one thing he couldn't be accused of doing too much of was tackling.

Jone had zero tackles in last night's game. ZERO! As an alleged inside midfielder that is an indictment on his defensive work rate.

Trengove, who generally played on the other wing, had 6.

Its because Watts has set such a low standard that last nights performance seemed decent. He was decent, thats all. Better intensity at the contest was a positive.

So he improved.

No one else did. Where most played their worst game for the year, Watts played his best.

He was better than you're giving him credit for. Not exactly a break-out game, nor even a great game, but a clear step in the right direction.

Watts, Jamar, Tapsccott showed a willingness and an appetite to contest and compete. Very little of this comes from too many others currently.

A sad indictment on many players that have been around 4 or 5 years.

Stuff whether they were average, ok, going to be a superstar or just very good players.

Show me you want to compete and improve and that your not damn scared to second guess yourself, both physically and mentally.

Was a good game from Jack. He's just starting to build some confidence in his last 5 quarters.

If the entire squad had the same desire as Jack did last night it would have been a much closer game. It was a good game from Jack. He must continue to put these efforts in. I'm not trying to insinuate he hasn't previously, but he tried to assert himself into some contests last night. I was reasonably happy with his game.

Part of the painful transition we are in involves the emergence of a new generation of young players prepared to throw themselves in harder when the going gets tougher. These will be the players who will provide the hard core of a team than can push for a flag by dragging and inspiring their team mates to lift. Jacks effort against the tide on Thursday night was a glimpse of what he may do in years to come. I hope he brings his angry pills on Sunday, we need him to.

Drunk himself stupid? At his age it doesn't always take much alcohol to make someone a bit drunk or at least appearing drunk due to the dumb stuff most people that age do. Maybe he had only three beers and starting getting a bit rowdy - big whoop.

If true, and I don't doubt it, l hope he has a breakthrough to get the monkey off his back. He's under a Lot of pressure from all AFL & sundry.

If he makes something of a breakthrough, and he seems to be on his way with his increasing tenacity at the contest, I feel he will be on his way, so I'd hope the binging would ease right Up. Don't make it a habit young fella.

And the other Jack too! However, we all know three kings( Priddis,Cox and Embley) will beat three jacks! . Priddis was so clean with his ball handling just like my fox terriers used to pick up a tennis ball on the run. He makes Kerr look second rate now.
