Media speculation about a possible meeting and many here take it as signed?

This holds as much weight as any of the other speculation over the past few weeks.

This is the first time I've actually posted on the whole Scully saga as I've tried to avoid (as well as I could) fear mongering on the fact that Scully could be headed North. Though I've found this to an alarming and disconcerting situation to be in, my gut feel has always been that he'll stay in Melbourne.

Though this feeling wasn't based on any cold hard facts I came to this belief going on reports about how he conducts himself and how family has been a large part of his life.

The fact that he's brought talks forward is encouraging to say the least, and despite the fact we are not over the line yet, it is a clear sign that TS does in fact value the MFC and wants to remain part of our great club.

Absolutely agree. It is likely that we won't know anything concrete for some time.

Where is the Tweet. I can't find it

Tweeted by @StevoHeraldSun on 24 Feb:

Scully should play next week. If he does, is likely to break silence in lead up to game with "all-in" press conference. Good call by Dees.

I am grateful that the majority of supporters of our great club are able to wait the reporting of the "facts"

Then why would anyone be bothered posting.

The credit will belong with the people who administer the club, the football department, his teammates and Tom himself.

Hopefully, it will happen this week and we can all move on to the next set of rumours.

That would be lovely.

Three interviews with Jack Trengove this year and all revolve around one topic for the majority.

Next.

Oh POOEY!!!

Why at Melbourne do we always get let down...? :(

Because we're Melbourne supporters. It's our lot to be disappointed.

So - what to make of this:

"But the Giants scouts are believed to be resigned to missing out on winning Scully’s signature to join the new team next season, which will be coached by AFL legend Kevin Sheedy."

Don't lose hope people - his manager has to play down speculation for the sake of negotiations etc.

Great news - I think he will re-sign. But if he were to go to GWS, I for one would not be too concerned - a player chasing the big bucks now will do it later in their career anyway!!!

Without trying to upset the positive vibe around the news today

I was at golf day with Mike Sheehan last week and he says categorically that Scully has agreed to terms with GWS via his manager. A point to note that Graeme Allan of GWS is a very close friend of Mike's.

Although he has not officially signed with GWS an agreement via his management company Velocity and GWS has been done. Now before you all shoot me down please note that I am passing on what I heard with the other 100 people on that day

I obviously don't want to see him go but the details of this seem like its done

Im sick of the line, that he wont talk contracts till end of year, so its not a distraction.

HELLO these rumors are the biggest distraction in AFL.

How about sign and put it to rest.

So, did he stand up and make some sort of an announcement, or was it just a very crowded tee?

If the word has come from Allan - even if it's indirectly - then it is clearly compromised. Mike's just another tool that has been used.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
