I miss the verbal diatribe of YM-i actually agreed with a lot of what he said!!

Many times he spoke what many were thinking but did not have the nous to put in writing.

His Nik Nat predictions though were way off the mark for me! B)

Didn't one of his threads feature in the Herald Sun? I think he was bagging us for our win against the Dogs in 2007 which cost us a priority pick.

correct.

Yeah. Journalism hit a new low that day.

It's an interesting exercise, as I find I build up a sort of mental picture of a person in my head and people rarely turn out how I imagine them. I've only met a small handful from Demonland.

Geez. I thought all Demonlanders looked like their avatar. I always pictured you as a very young resident greek, and E25 as an authoritarian Bails, and RR as a purple rhino etc., etc.

I sort of imagine E25 to be a big ogre in my head. I remember he mentioned somewhere he's in his 50's but you're certainly the "Collingwood" of Demonland.

You've stopped talking [censored] though and behind the copious amount of stirring you enjoy you have some reasonable points occasionally.

as for yze_magic. what a man

Who cares? He has an opinion as sometimes rams it home with a splintered dildo rather than a greased up finger. It is the intrawez and only the feeble minded care that some avatar gives an opinion that doesn't match theirs.

When abuse is used to back up a point I get my back up but E25 seems to be happy to put the boot into himself as much as he does the rest of us, and he does it with a nice sardonic style.

Get over yourself people. It is not that important in the big scheme of things.

PS: E25. You still [censored] me off with your "holier than thou" posting but even when you have the steel caps on I am made to think.

PPS: It would be waste of time posting if we all agreed.

PPPS: There isn't one so - "my dog has no nose!"

I thought he'd been banned for speaking his mind?

He got banned for being a jerk.

I know of a number of people who stopped visiting demonland specifically because of his garbage, and his anti-Bruce clap-trap. And they've still not come back.

The only redeeming factor was his sense of humour, which for an internet forum, was actually highly entertaining. Beyond that though he was a plague on this site, and it's a far better place now that he's gone. (assuming he's actuallly not still lurking)

There is a lot of garbage there but also a hint of prophecy and foresight and a willingness to tackle sensitive topics and sacred cows no one else would dare too.

Nope. Y_M was right a very small percentage of the time only because he had an opinion on every topic. If you form an opinion on EVERY player, half the time they're going to be right. Y_M's howlers were as common as his "on" predictions. He just would grandstand so much when he WAS right. He was a witty guy, but in 3 or so years I didn't see a single post that showed he knew more about footy than any average demonlander. Not once. His talent was his humour... that was as far as his wit went.

Seriously. If he comes back there might be more fireworks, but it'll also be far less populated. Demonland's great strength is it's for everyone... even those who are a bit new to the game. Y_M thought it was made for him... And if anyone agreed with him or patted him on the back, it only made it worse.

That's rarely the case... but jcb really does look like that.

My Avatar is a self portrait.

I think they have a cream now for that skin problem you have, although I'm not so sure we can fix that steam coming out of your ears. But you've pretty much nailed it with your comments on Yze_Magic. As much as I liked his humour (and I did stick up for him at times), he was a dill. A poor man's E25, if only a little funnier.

Is that steam? And I presumed it was pot smoke.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
