Thanks wise, but I'm just a bit bored.

As they say, no such thing as bored, just boring people!

And you're one of them.

Ow, that hurts. Bloke starts a thread with what he knows through his job which, at this time of the year, is all there is to talk about football wise and you rubbish it. Jealous you didn't start it? Or you simply have nothing decent to add? I'm going for the latter.

Thanks for some good reading "Nudge" keep it up

interesting there is some1 on big Footy who says they hear trade talk at there job aswell.

He says we are right into David Hale and interestingly says Sherman will either go to Richmond or Melbourne, go on and have a look he gives info on all 16 clubs.

Here are a few pieces of scuttlebutt hovering around Demons.

Please remember that 98% of mentioned deals do NOT eventuate, but a fact is that over 25 deals a team get proposed through this period. it is best to try and limit the ones posted to those that seem to have some momentum and generally more than one source.

If you don't like what you hear, relax, it most likely will not happen. I'm reporting what I am lucky to hear through my job with my news publication with three sports management offices also in the building.

I post them not becuse I think they are going to happen, but simply I have heard them mentioned directly from numerous people. Most importantly, I post them because its interesting to know and as Demon fans you deserve to know and enjoy the mystery/intruige of it all!

Here you are:

- Warnock highly sought, Demons playing hardball (some feel to simply increase value, some think we genuinely will not trade). Proposed offers from Carlton (Setanta, Fisher & Grigg mentioned), Hawks (Muston, Dowler, picks), Dogs (Hill, Everitt). Saints also believed to be keen.

- Jones close to a deal, Bombers still hunting as are GC. Houli a mentioned possibility if he leaves. Also murmours of a swap with Stanton. Most likely to re-sign.

- Kyle Cheney being shopped around.

- Clayton Hinkley likely to be a Demon. Trade for a pick appears most likely at this stage.

- David Hale now appears most likely to be part of Jacobs/Walker trade. Latest word is Demons may give Warnock away as part of the deal (Carlton)

- Jesse White a priority, Swans playing hard ball. Very unlikely!

- Taylor Walker being shopped by Crows, demons baulking at asking price. Appears dead in water.

- Ben McKinley looking likely to land at either Demons or Tigers. Will depend on Walker/Hale.

- Andrejs Everitt high on radar if cheap.

- David Armitage has spoken with 4 clubs, Dees one.

- Cam Bruce still very much in limbo

- Alwyn Davey has reportedly requested trade to Demons. Hird appointment may change this though. Also with Stanton.

- Addam Maric has requested a trade. Possible swap for Davey

- Delisted Roo Josh Smith likely to do pre-season with Demons. Possible Rookie.

Thats about all I have heard. Only ones that are looking more than just minor discussions ar this stage are Hale, Maric, Davey & Warnock. As They are coming up in numerous peoples info.

Ensure your salt grains are handy, Trade week is sheer craziness people.

Try to remember that.

Great stuff Nudge...

If nothing else, certainly some food for thought and the possibles mentioned all have different merits depending on what we give up.

We are in a good positions, there are a few players with Warnock prime as a full back, that clubs are looking at but we don't REALLY have to go to hard yet.

It's a good position as we have a little upper hand.

Those that know me would realise that I'm reasonably conservative with my offerings.

I can't say that this is 100%, but I've heard this afternoon that Nathan Jones has decided to go to the GC.

I'm led to believe that Nathan went to school at Peninsula Grammar and I've heard from an excellent source via that school that Jones is leaving.

Don't shoot me if it turns out to be wrong.

If true,, I'm both saddened & excited by the possibilities.. Saddened because Jones'y is just one you can't help but respect & love. But also I see his future as limited with us & we must get every move right, so we have to be a little selfish in our one way quest to build this club into a premiership Unit. That means there will be pain associated with this rebuild.

Just curious, if Jones does leave, what would our compo be?

I presume it would be a pick after the first round, like Brown, Bock n Habrow.

I remember hearing that if the player was drafted in the last 4 years, their draft pick (pick 12 in Jones' case) would be taken into consideration. Does Jones qualify for this? If so could we get a first rounder?

I don't love the idea of Justin Sherman. Seems like a wannabe Colin Sylvia. When he's good he's good but fades out of games way too much and rates himself far too highly as well. Also think he'd want abit too much. I guess at the right price though probably worthwhile

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
