So true..... But now that he has been given a game, he must be left in the team for a run of at least 5 matches..... He is a target....

For 1 or 2 weeks til Robbo is ready.

Robbo IS NOT a key position player. He's the extra forward. That's how Daniher killed him. So Robbo coming back has nothing to do with his position in the side (unless Bailey is equally dumb, but I don't think so)

Never thought i would be saying this, but he needs to be given some more game time.

The previous post about agony and ecstasy is so so so so true. He took some fantastic pack marks and backed back into the contest a number of times ( mainly due to the fact that he wasnt leading what so ever), but my god, if he could have converted today. We would all be talking about Juicy in a different vain.

its amazing the leaps in form players can take when they play AFL not VFL. Meeson is not bad a player at all. Newton was good for a target but his second efforts need some work.

Can't wait for the team to all fire at the same time.

on another note, I think Brock should be told to stay in the corridor, he looks a tad slow on the wings when pushed out there.

Davey - Career best form

I was thinking that after the game, but wasn't sure if I had my rose coloured glasses on after the win. He was exceptional today, although I don't think a better side would've allowed him so much latitude.

Joeboy agree bar this one. He lead us to chip the ball around at the 20 minute mark of the 2nd qtr. Another 5 minutes in the last and we would have lost the game because there was no leadership.

And Bailey benched him.

It was beautiful to see.

A real coach, finally.

I would classify Port Adelaide as a better (read: actually capable of not sucking) side.

Finally the Davey-to-midfield experiment is starting to pay off. It looked like a lost cause by Round 2 this year, but something had obviously clicked and finally it's all starting to make sense.

Bennell - Oh My God

MFC - Still lack leadership

Bruce - still can't kick

Davey - Very impressive form

Jones - Rediscovering form rapidly

PJ - Needs a rest

Frawley - Finding his feet

Petterd - love his guts

Sylvia - One good quarter

Oh My God I want to meet Bennell in a late night discoteque so we can get funky and.... you know the rest

Thanks for the visual!

Matty Whelan called and said he wants his ring back by the way ;)

Bennell's ball-on-a-shoestring display on the boundary had Andrew McLeod written all over it. Speeeeeeecial!

I'm not talking to Matthew until he gets his way back into the Senior team, until them I'll find myself a new sugardaddy - and it can't even be Grimes because, of course, he's been injured too

I'm sensing a theme, and I hear Chris Judd is dying for a groupie :P

Many thanks.

The other theme is I follow classy, team-oriented players who are not traitorous, money-hungry scum

Bartram - Doesn't do enough for me

Bate - Not a full forward

Bennell - Shows genuine class

Bruce - Kicking still a real concern

Davey - Beautiful kick

Dunn - Looked 1000 times better when up forward

Frawley - Did not notice much (will have to watch replay)

Green - Good until injured

Jetta - Patchy, but on the up

Johnson - Much better this week

Jones - Solid game

Martin - See Frawley

McLean - Best game of the year by a mile

Meesen - Still looks a little lost, but is exceeding expectations

Miller - Much better, but still lacked awareness at times

Moloney - Solid game

Morton - Classy touches

Newton - Isn't a key position player

Petterd - Not a forward

Rivers - Solid game

Sylvia - About bloody time

Warnock - Well beaten

Posted

Bartram - a it slow...not afl speed of awareness..kills him...Otherwise hes ok

Bate - not the worst game...not his best..seems out of position..not sure myself where to put him though

Bennell - ooh... there's an excitement machine in the making here..hope its not flash in the pan..and to think..only likely to get more assured and better still :))

Bruce - a conundrum is Bruce..he really does try..and hes very trying too !! lol.. just abysmal decisions !!

Davey - welcome back Aaron ( od old )

Dunn - much better...keep going son..you may just have it

Frawley - not a bad shutdown effort

Green - :( :( :( bugger !!

Jetta - there are moments..not as poised as his mate..hopefully will become so...:)

Jones - top effort

Martin - effective

McLean - the next captian is putting up his hand

Meesen - wasnt brilliant..wasnt woeful..cant make heads nor tails really

Moloney - Beamed !!

Morton - still has you thinking theres more to come

Newton - someone teach him to kick properly

Petterd - getting his game back

Rivers - a fair game.. has some lapses of concentration and prone to a niggle.. youre better than tis Jared !!

Warnock - not best game.. a learning experience..he will be better for

Stynes...mark of the day !! :))hehehe

Is that a "oh my god I want Bennell's babies" or "oh my god I want Bennell gone from the team"??

The former.

Bennell's ball-on-a-shoestring display on the boundary had Andrew McLeod written all over it. Speeeeeeecial!

And he wants his house key back..

Bennell to Jetta around the boundary lifted me off my seat literally.

3 words: -

Bartram - Not tall enough

Bate - Needs pace injection

Bennell - Exciting young talent

Bruce - No more 'Tempo'

Davey - His kicks 'Zing'

Dunn - Has bulked up

Frawley - Actually breaks lines

Green - How so unfortunate

Jetta - Another exciting talent

Johnson - Thinks he's rover

Jones - Don't touch dad!

Martin - Should've won Sprint

McLean - Getting much fitter

Meesen - Welcome to AFL

Miller - Competitive juices flowing

Moloney - Solid onfield leader

Morton - Wrong team Mitch!

Newton - He's no Isaac

Petterd - Don't like GoldCoast

Rivers - NAB Rising Star

Sylvia - Has penny dropped?

Warnock - Battled valiantly wRicho

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
