Hi All,

As has been previously mentioned on this site, yes I have been reading your posts with great interest over the last few days.

I'd like to send a huge thank you to all the passionate Dees supporters on this site for their support for Kaspersky since the announcement. It's this sort of passion and quality which is shared by the Melbourne FC staff that helped get this sponsorship deal over the line.

I'm looking forward to working closely with Melbourne FC over the next 3 years to help build both brands and grow together. Any ideas are welcome as my sales targets have been increased significantly since the multi million dollar deal was announced :-)

Go Dees (and Kaspersky)!

Andrew.

Thank YOU!

Come to think of it... my work could use a consolidation of IT security systems - post merger. And they really should have the best, since they do a lot of work with very confidential material.

I'll get onto it, perhaps alongside spruiking Mates of Melbourne as a business-to-business networking environment, since they are also a business services company.

Congratulations Andrew you've put together a relationship that will certainly help our club and I sincerely hope helps Kaspersky.

I'm wondering if you'd outline just what the timing was. I've read the Age article which outlines the process but what was the time between your first meeting with the club and the signing of the agreement? How long does it generally take to put these sort of sponsorship arrangements in place?

Also I'm unsure how you say "Kaspersky".... any hints??

Anyway I hope this sponsorship proves so successful it is the start of a relationship that runs for much longer than the initial 3 years.

Well done.

cheers

Hi Fan,

Without giving too much away, let's just say this was an unusually fast process thanks to the decisiveness of our APAC director who was in Melbourne last week to meet with Melbourne FC.

As I mentioned in my first post, it was the great team at Melbourne which really impressed. Jim's work with Reach and the club's community programs were alligned with Kaspersky's values. It seemed like a great fit for both sides.

As for kaspersky, it's not as hard as it looks. Ka-sper-sky.

Cheers

Andrew a sterling effort !!! :) Thankyou...and congratulations on the audacity..lol..more power to you and those like you :)

If Kaspersky were to offer a slightly discounted product to Melbourne members..youd have quite a few sales overnight. Possibly via a promotional code which could be the members mfc#..or such.

I wish your company much success in this sponsorship venture

Andrew... Thanks.

Mate your the envy of all Demons supporters. So many times over the past few months we've felt so helpless waiting for some good news on the sponsorship front. You have been in a unique position to really make a difference and you have.

I really feel amongst the supporters here and on Demonology that there is going to be some genuine good will expressed between us and our sponsors. The past few difficult years, I feel, has galvanized us as a supporter base and as a club. So Kaspersky's support and that of Hankook's has really come along at a very special time. From all reports Kaspersky Lab delivers a fine product, I look forward to using it in the future.

It's also wonderful to hear the Kaspersky and the Melbourne FC share a vision and values for the future. Surely a good basis to work from over the long term. Again thanks mate for your effort.

Andrew, cant tell you how bloody proud i was when i read of your efforts to support our club. How the hell does anyone have the audacity to ask for such a big investment in a bottom of the ladder team? On you first meeting with the big-wigs? Astounding. You even mad Vlad sit up and take notice!!!!

Congratulations and heart felt thanks from all supporters of M.F.C.

I have started a thread to your good self and 3 others involved in sponsorship on Demonology. I hope you find it interesting.

Go Dees! :D

Andrew,

It's you and Kaspersky Lab that deserve our vote of thanks for your support of the club.

As Andy (Demonland) has pointed out our office is protected by Kaspersky products so I'm wondering if it's OK with your permission for our Home Page and logo to include the fact that Demonland is protected by Kaspersky?

We'll do somrthing with Hankook too as soon as there's a need to change tyres! <_<

Ding, I've been trying to create a new log in on Demonology also but I'm not having much luck. I'm not sure if the sign up page is down or if it's just me.

FWIW, I prefer it on here anyway... ;-)

That would be fantastic Whispering Jack. The more publicity the better as far as I'm concerned.

Thanks Andrew (we might take a little while to do the redesign but it will be up soon!)

I believe the tech people are working with Demonology to enable new posters to register as we speak.

Go Dees.

Andrew well done on the sponsorship. As far as joining Demonology it can't be done at the moment because the owner of the site is ill and cannot complete the rewrite of the sites program. the rewrite was caused by a change in the hosts[midnight] computer language. I would expext that this will be one of Tim's priorities when he gets better.

If you really want contact with Demonologists then you can contact me [email protected] and I will arrange for you to talk to the forum under my login.

You're a bloody legend Andrew, i will be using Kaspersky when my Norton runs out in a couple of weeks.

Good to hear mate. By the way I've noticed the wrong Kaspersky link has been posted on this site. The official site for Australia is www.kasperskyanz.com.au.

The other link was to a distributor site not kaspersky's.

Enjoy :-)

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
