Carlton fans rate CJ

I've kept an eye on him in his first few games with the Blues, and hardly anything to write home about.

Is doing no more or less for them that he did for us when he got a chance............but he's only played two preseason games for them.

Some of their posters are right on the money.............when a few of their better running defenders come back like Scotland, and Walker, he may find it a bit harder to get a game.

Good luck to him though................he left for his own reasons, and I wish him all the best.

I couldn't give a rats about CJ, i'm not massively bitter about the way he left. There was a better opportunity for him at Carlton and i don't think many at the Dees rated him, personally i didn't.

I missed the match but did he go OK? I rated him here and was filthy he walked away for nothing

http://www.talkingcarlton.com/phpBB3/viewt...56&start=20

In the North Melbourne match, did a few good things, kicked a nice goal, and then turned a simple ball over for a goal, and let a 5 year old girl run around him and kick a goal without offering more than a whimper.

Hope he proves e wrong, but I don't think he has what t takes when the going gets tough

will be lucky to play 10games a year without injuries to other players. If carlton fans rate CJ then that sums them up!

Yes - fancy being optomistic or supportive of a new player.......

What they're saying about CJ is less optimistic than some of the stuff I read about Meesen a few years back. By the way, how's Meesen going? How many games has he played for us? Or for the Crows, for that matter?

I see he is now getting a gig on the afl website.

http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tab...26/default.aspx

Was the public face of the CFC on the TV news last night and aquitted himself well. I don't mind him but I think he had no future at the club and made the right career move.

Can we move on now please?

Too right.

CJ would struggle to get a game with the D`s by midyear if he was still with us anyway. Get over it people. Didnt we get an extra pick out of it in the PSD as a result!!??

Exactly.

I think in the long run we've actually done pretty well out of being screwed over by Carlton.

Instead of Judd - we have Morton, Grimes and Maric,

Instead of R. Warnock - we have Strauss,

Instead of C. Johnson - we have Jurrah.

We won't know until about three years from now, I guess, but I think the five we got are 'more likely to take us to the top more often' over the years than the three the Blues got.

Besides, the Johnson and the Warnock we still have are better anyway ;)

I add also that Instead of R.Warnock - we also have Spencer, in addition to Strauss. If we took Warnock then I am not sure we would be trialling Spencer now. Whatever Warnock does he would have cost $400,000 a year. We would be paying Spencer a pittance, he is performing and he is not injured ATM.

But your right about the time frame - at least three years.

FWIW, I dont think it was a case of instead of Judd. He was always going to Carlton.

Out of respect for Chris's father's contribution to our club and the fact that Chris is a young man who was neither a star or a regular team member, I suggest we wish him good luck and end this thread.

PS. We as a club have a lot to look forward to with all of our young players.

I wasnt happy when he walked out but now couldn't care less. If CJ couldnt get a regular game last year with the state Melbourne were in then i think it was in his best interest to move on and wish him all the best. I think we has handy last night for the blues and deserves a chance to be in there best 22. In the end it i hope its a win for him having a long career with Carlton and a win for Melbourne picking up Jarah. I am still very dirty on Scott Thompson leaving the club i love the way he plays his footy and he would be real asset on and off the field which is what we need. Anyone remember who or what we got for him?

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full

    MEANWHILE by Whispering Jack

… meanwhile, at about the same time that Narrm was putting its feet on the accelerator to obliterate the long-suffering Euro-Yroke combination, I heard someone mention in passing that Kuwarna was leading Waalitj Marawar by a whopping 46 to 1 halfway through the second quarter of their game over in Adelaide. “What is football coming to?” I asked myself.  In front of my eyes, the Demons were smashing it through the midfield, forcing turnovers and getting the footy to their forwards who w

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th
