You risk wasting a draft pick if you get Lovey as if he is naughty he may end up hurt or in jail.

Colin Sylvia as a straight swap would be worth it.

Sylvia is the Ds version of Courtney Johns without the major injuries but with the niggling ones.

your a twit mate! colin is just starting to get going while lovett won an anzac medal and made us all think he is going to be a superstar! no instead he bashes girls and gets [censored] the night before training!

Don't think we'll be looking for another off-field problem. But I do like the way he plays.

That sums it up nicely Titan.

Just pointing out Lovett has proven himself to be a watch winner at AFL.

Has Sylvia even played in a winning Demons team?

How many watches has he won?

25 matches won for Sylvia, 20 wins for Lovett. Given Sylvia started a year earlier i'll take ALL of his 2004 wins away.

Sylvia wins 24 to Lovett's 20

Slyvia isn't a hard player, he is a sniper and has no football brain.

He goes in when it suits him and as a footballer Lovett is actually a better player than Slyvia.

If you think Slyvia is just starting to get going you'll be disappointed and be in tears cause he's not going to get better. He is the Ds version of Coutney Johns and all his fans make up all these excuses, fact is he and Courtney will be great second/third tier league players. Can't cut it at AFL level.

Incorrect.

Yes, I think Diamond Jim has a screw loose if he thinks Sylvia isn't hard at the ball and the man. Courtney Johns is already on the scrap heap as far as I'm concerned. And for the record, Sylvia has been a better player than Johns already.

If you think Sylvia can't cut it at AFL level, you're sadly mistaken. He is already cutting it up Jimbo. And as for Lovett, he hasn't got long to go until he drifts off into the sunset.

Sylvia is the Ds version of Courtney Johns -all show and no go.

Lovett is a much better footballer and Sylvia as trade bait should be considered but I think all the AFL sides think the same as I do with him.

You decide. Season 2008 is an accurate reflection of where both players are at. It shows Sylvia is on the improve where as Lovett was steady but had only 22 scoring shots - down on his previous 3 years. Sylvia was up even though Bailey played him down back earlier in the season.

I'm warming to the prospect of Lovett each day

we need pace and a ruckman, and somehow we've got to get Vickery in the draft. get another first round pick. then get blease with 17 or zaharakis. but lovett would bolster the stocks, and we could trade to get him

i don't care if he's a tool

coling sylvia is a massive tool and a woman basher...still at our club.

brad green is a tool as well, but still like him as a footy player. im not mates with these people..they're footy players

he'll be fine, good mate with aaron davey, he'll settle in nicely.

green is just a bit of a tool..v big ego, and can guarentee you that money was an issue in the contract negotiations.

which is why, as nudgey reported, clubs had offered him more, and the contract was at a stalemate, so they gave him the 3 years.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
