  1. Jim was at the commencement dinner last week and I had the privilege of shaking hands with him but unfortunately Jim had a very vacant look that suggested he won't be with us for much longer. Was a very sad occasion to see Jim in such a state but I am glad that Dad and I went and I had the chance to shake hands with one of my heroes. Much love and respect to his entire family including his sister who works tirelessly for the MFC and is one of the nicest people you could ever meet
  2. on you Jimma !! Nothing can keep this amazing man down !
  3. from bigfooty http://i56.tinypic.com/15zjdoo.jpg
  4. Club should play that poem before the game on Sunday on the big screen ! awesome and love the logo. Jim Stynes what a man !!!
  5. massive ankle problems apparently. steer well clear i say
  6. article on afl website sai Butchers biggest problem was his kicking ability. As a key forward would have thought that would have been the most important thing. reckon we take a massive wide berth around butcher. We dont need another player that cant kick esp one whose job would be to kick goals
  7. Schwarz said on SEN tonight he had spoken to Cam Schwab and 3 year deal extremely close to being finalised.
  8. dome, stadium, g, optus, casey - not really fussed. If the dees are playing then I am there. for people who complain about the stadium and paying more the entire reason the AFL push us around is because of fickle supporters like you. If our team is playing get out there and support no matter what. Only people you hurt by not attending are your own !
  9. this is the same moron son who was already on bail for an assault on someone else which included an iron bar. Really nice family that one. DHS should take his child away from him. It is clear from his behaviour on the weekend that he simply cant control his rage and ignites at the drop of a hat. He was clearly looking for someone to fight on the weekend and the smallest thing was going to set him off.
  10. The guy on the news who was supporting his mates was the third person involved. He was not an innocent bystander. He was one of the heroes that jumped in and beat the suitcase out of a bloke who was already down from a vicious headbut from the instigator
  11. my dad and I witnessed the whole incident yesterday. The guy who started it was looking for an argument, and walked past us first hoping we would say something to spark him. Full account on demonology for those wishing to read what actually happened. People did to to help but what happened to Nathan's dad happened in a split second. The guy said what did you say and headbutted him straight away which is what caused it. He then claimed he was attacked by Nathans dad. I made sure the cops were aware exactly who started it and he subsequently got arrested. And contrary to what the papers say the bloke did not lose his shirt in the scuffle. He was walking around without the shirt on screaming obsenceities
  12. the kid couldn't move. He had an ice machine strapped to his leg after having major surgery on his knee. he was NOT at that pub
  13. only reason he is being talked about is they are the only ones to have put up a deal at this stage. Is actually not fussed where he goes and is not about money. All he wants to do is play footy. Maybe people should take a pill before they read something on BigFooty or in the paper. If Melbourne want him I have no doubt they could get him and he would be happy to play at Melbourne. And just so you know my source is his mother who I work with.
  14. may ultimately happen now given something that happened at Cats, but it certainly didn't happen the way you reckon mate. I asked his mum today and he was DEFINITELY NOT at that pub when you reckon he was. He will either end up at dees or north at this stage, but don't start crowing champ about your original post. You may get lucky but you will still talking crap about the circumstances.
  15. why the hate on Brad Green ? What has he ever done ??
  16. I work with Brent's mum and Brent has not left his house for the most of the last two weeks on account of the fact he can't given his rehab from his injury. His first outing was actually over to his mum's for dinner the other night, and is going to the GF on the weekend. Seriously doubt he was in a bar talking about that sort of stuff in any event. From what his mum reckons (Brent hasn't told her - so seriously doubt he would tell some random bloke in a bar) he has been offered his contract from the Cats and will most likely accept it given that he enjoys living down there and he and his girlfriend are settled down that way. Other clubs have still showed some interest in him, but he is more than likely to stay where he is.
  17. tenace is contracted still and is a spud and lazy PASS NO THANKS
  18. wont leave Cats. They have agreed to leave the 2 year deal on the table. Most likely to stay. Also has life down in Geelong and likes living down there I know his family, and that is straight from his mothers mouth
  19. going nowhere in all likeihood. cats have offered pris 2 years although other clubs still interested. most likely will stay a cat
  20. if we abandon MOPT bubble dome then the $1million raised by the club could be shifted to another project. The money actually doesn't got to he club it goes to a foundation and is earmarked for training facilities for the club. I could not see therefore any reason why we could not move into the G and earmark the $1million to go towards developing Casey Fields (if that is still in the plans)
  21. herald sun named him as best. good thing about footy isn't it YM that it is subjective. I thought Bruce was ok yesterday. Far from our wort player and if it was Brian Taylor no suprise there. For some reason he hates Melbourne
  22. what we are trading him to Bendigo are we ??? That story about him wanting to go to Adelaide is rubbish
  23. Prismall is high on our recruiting plan. Andy Lovell knows him from his days at Cats and is pretty keen on getting him. Even told Brent's father he is high on our target list at end of year. Still don't understand why so many want to trade Bruce away. Every time a trade pops up invariably we are handing Bruce off. Given his position of leadership at the club I find it almost impossible that Melbourne will trade Bruce at the end of the year.
