Maybe he is sore with that crook back he had pre-season...I like him as a player when he's up and going but been underwhelming so far this season.

Quick. Tell Misson we've discovered the problem.

One thing for sure, going by poster reactions here you are good at putting posters to the boil.

A fair way off it on the weekend.  Shown flashes but never anything consistent sadly. Was expecting much more by now.

and as for Kent.....

I'd love to see your undies after Kent runs his 11.2 second 100m towards you.

If you don't fear mass and speed, you are either brave, stupid, or have no idea of Newton and Co.

Yeah. For all those times an AFL player has to deal with me on the G.

Before you get your panties in a bunch, I'm not attacking Kent. Just questioning the OP.

He's just not a big guy as far as AFL goes. The old looks like Tarzan plays like Jane cliche applies to guys like Sylvia. Ferocious looking unit. Only played well a handful of times.

Kent's quick, good on a lead, and is a better kick than people think. I like him as a football player. But does he strike fear into other players' hearts? I dunno. He's not Barry Hall is he.

Bevo would play him behind the ball.

Jason Dunstan would have made an ordinary HBFlanker.

How many HBs is enough?

We've had, Jones, Salem, Lewis, Hibberd, Melksham, Vince, Hunt, Jetta, Wagner and J.Smith play there so far and White and McKenna at Casey.

As a product of Clackline, WA (pop. 330), Kent likes space to work with and is not so fond of human contact. He'll pop up when we've stretched a defence, but like a woolly mammoth will go missing in the event of a flood. I think it's fair to keep in mind that he's shorter than Stretch, but doesn't use his weight to advantage: a chicken-nugget the cynical might scoff. I like his x-factor (that is an x as an unknown quantity in any given circumstance rather than X for excitement), but based on all the available evidence I have to concede he's probably the very definition of a down-hill skier. Hopefully Gil gets it in his head to move the Grand Final to the top of Thredbo in the very near future.

Like any/every other AFL player, ever, Kent plays to give everything he's got.

Problem is, he has one trick: He is left footed which wrong foots 90% of the opposition. At the end of the day, he has no right side at all, possesses almost no agility and lacks true awareness. I'm sure he's not lazy, just playing with limitations. He is what he is.

Football is played with instinct and discipline. Kent needs to work on discipline and playing a role. Best we can hope for is hardness and commitment, a soldier, not a leader. Hope he gets there.

Welcome Wobble.
Kent doesn't attack the pill and tries to be too flashy when he does have it. Some of those passes to the corridor that get picked off are clearly where ambition overides talent.

I have put a line through him. His form in our losses is the main issue I have. He has none. Goes missing big time.

A little harsh there jnr, although he isn't exactly doing much right at the moment.  He's contracted until the end of next year so he has around 18 months to prove himself.  Otherwise he's either traded or playing in the local leagues.

I'm not ready to write him off just yet, but his output this year has been disappointing to say the least.

No Daisy, I don't write off or bag players but I get as disappointed as other supporters with the inconsistency shown by some.

Kent has obvious footy talent, but the difficulty lies in finding the permanent on switch, although that being said all our players with under 50 odd games have been all over the place this year, the only exception being Oliver but even he was down on his lofty standards against North

Kent was once exciting and maverick

He's now lackluster. Going backwards at an alarming rate.

Reality is that this isn't the Demons side of old that could allow a player to develop in the 1s without showing consistency.

Things have changed, we have options. Kent needs to work on bringing effort to every game and contest or start thinking about what he wants to do after football.

if i was goody, which i'm obviously not, i'd read kent the riot act and give him one more game against the suns. i'd tell him that if he doesn't meet the kpi's for that game he will be facing a long stretch in the magoos, putting his chances of a contract renewal at season end in deep poo. i'd hope he'd respond and get back on board because he does has the talent.

I really thought kent was gonna finally cement his spot up fwd with hoges and jeffy this year.

Absolutely has the talent, but just not the effort it seems.

Im not writing him off, but god damn was he disappointing vs norf. That pea hearted effort in the 4th qte was cringe worthy. Kicking for goal has been woeful as well.

Chances are running out.....

You might be right. He is so frustrating as he has the talent and has played some good games. I feel the issues are all in his head. He seems to me to have a healthy opinion of himself and his talents - I could be totally wrong but that's how it looks - rather than knuckling down and working his backside off and putting his body on the line.

The evidence of his poor performances in losses is pretty damning though.

What a joke article. I'm sure Freo really miss Ethan Hughes when he is not playing.... by the way who TF is Ethan Hughes?

Totally agree.  When he came back in to the side a few weeks back I thought it was a positive and that he would make us play better.  I couldn't have been more wrong, although he made a few good contributions in the Adelaide win.  Outside of that he has been poor and it's frustrating as we know he can play some terrific footy.

If he is dropped tonight then he might be out of the side for at least a month and his career is well and truly at the crossroads.

If Kent's dropped it'll need a miracle ( or more injuries  ? ) for him to get back in. These lads really can't be that bright  if they can't understand how this is going to play out.

Dean, pick your socks up or you'll be packed off to wherever come seasons end.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
