What a rubbish article. Was it originally published in Women’s Weekly?

There was news on Andrew Brayshaw and Hogan on SEN; a few weeks ago. A Jurno from WA said that a swap between Brayshaw and Hogan was spoken about, that he heard. So it might be Brayshaw for Hogan + a pick?

I’d accept brayshaw and their first rounder for hogan.

Brayshaw worth more than Hogan ? I don't think so

And you're welcome to be sucked in by it.

Don't worry Wise, it's all click bait and a lot of other publications and journalists just realized they missed the story and are playing catch up.

Still in denial?  I like your positivity usually but it's got to be delivered with some sensible recognition of the situation.  You're a bit poor on that lately.

Lose Hogan, gain pick. Pick to WC + JKH + Tyson for Gaff in sign and Trade. Win win lol AND we pipe Norf. Would be Buddy-esque in its snubbery.

That's not what was proposed. Read it again. If Hogan is worth two first round picks, it goes without saying that a top 2 pick + a player taken at top 2 LAST YEAR is effectively the same.

Gaff only requires money ... as the lady says... please explain

In the same way we were left exposed when Lever went down, who comes in as key forward if we trade Hogan and one of Weid or TMac go down?

Trading Hogan still feels ridiculous to me.

Since when does Gaff need to be traded for @praha?

Ideally,

Hogan--> Freo

Neale ---> Brisbane

Picks 4,5 to Melbourne

Gaff to Melbourne

Preuss to Melbourne

May to Melbourne

5 to GC

4 to GWS

Whitfield to Melbourne

One need not have logic in Demonland trade proposals, James.

Don't understand the obsession of Brayshaw, I'm assuming its because of Angus but isn't Andrew more of what we already have? I don't watch many Freo games so I don't know, also Ed Langdon turns it over a bit doesn't he?

There is a lot of talk about us paying two first round picks for Lever, however that is a very narrow snapshot on a small part of the deal. The deal involved other picks (including a second rounder to us). 10 + 16 + 68 out, 37 + 43 + Lever in.

If you do the sums with the points then it was effectively a single pick 7 for Lever.

Ironically (correct usage) Adelaide knocked back or initial offer of 10 and 29, which would have equated to pick 4. Effectively 'caving into Adelaide's demands' got us 2 second rounders in exchange for dropping our 2019 first rounder 13 spots and bringing it forward a year.

Brayshaw and Cerra and we give them a pic back next year .

You would need to add our first rounder from next year AT LEAST to get Whitfield.

I would do that without hesitation

Hogan is worth more than Lever, He is 23 and was on track for 60 goals this year if he played every game. Not to mention he pushed into the midfield and regularly collected 20-25 touches, he's a generational player. Lever is good, but Hogan is something else. We should get much more than pick 7

So we have enough money for one big fish + the 800k or whatever a year Hogan is on available. How do we fit May, Gaff, Preuss and Whitfield into that space? Gaff will want a min of 800k himself and then May would be 600k+. Are we paying Preuss and Whitfield in high fives and IOU notes.

With Shiel leaving, GWS wont be squeezed for money. It would be hard to pry whitfeild out before free-agency.

With Neale leaving Fremantle won’t trade out any of their young guns.

Freo doesn't have the chips here.

    After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

    A few years ago, the Melbourne Football Club produced a documentary about the decade in which it rose from its dystopic purgatory of regular thrashings to the euphoria of a premiership victory. That entire period could have been compressed in a fast motion version of the 2025 season to date as the Demons went from embarrassing basket case to glorious winner in an unexpected victory over the Dockers last Saturday. They transformed in a single week from a team that put in a pedestrian effort of predictably kicking the ball long down the line into attack that made a very ordinary Bombers outfit look like worldbeaters into a slick, fast moving side with urgency and a willingness to handball and create play with shorter kicks and by changing angles to generate an element of chaos that yielded six goals in each of the opening quarters against Freo.
