Just to be clear. I have never asked for that nor do I necessarily want that. I have a full time job. That being said I have alot of ideas and advice that I would happily give. I would love to have the access that the club has to their own talent. I'm not saying I could do a better job but I have a lot of ideas about what the club could do better with their own resources. When I say I would do things for free it is more to just emphasize my love for the club and wanting them to be the best in all aspects. I already support them financially in the form of many premium memberships as well as the 2 player sponsorships not to mention merchandise etc. I'm also happy to give my time and knowledge to help improve certain aspects that I believe the club is lacking in.

Dee Brief has posted this on his Facebook account, thanks Dee Brief for the effort. Clarry - High energy, dominated at times; no one could go with him. Lots of run and carry, got better as the game went on. Jefferson - Took a big pack mark and goaled from 40. Looks a real player. Tholstrup - Super impressive. Brilliant crumbing goal and played time in the middle. T Mac - Looked comfortable down back. Good communication with Hore Hore - Did bits and pieces. Solid Fullarton - Rucked most of the game. Promising signs Woey - Didn't see much game time, but played in the middle

You know what grinds my gears. HOw much the media was going to town on Oliver when he was in the pits, going through god knows what. Now that he has gotten through his 2nd game and is hopefully on the way back to the best version of himself, not a peep. No good story. Perhaps it is a little premature, but what about a little positive reinforcement from the industry to let him know that we are all happy to see him on the mend.

Great signs to hear Oliver play so well. In my opinion, get him in for round 0 as it seems as though when Clarry is playing AFL footy, he is his best self. He's also the goat. Also very encouraging to hear that Jefferson was presenting well and a solid target. He was always going to be a slow burn but, there's definitely something to work with. People are quick to forget that the kid is only 19 years old and has years of development left in him. It's not until at least year 3 that he'll be able to really show his strengths and build his fitness base. Kolt is exactly the type of forward/mid we need who has tidy foot skills, a good overhead mark, some burst away from stoppages and an innate goal sense. He adds another dimension to the forward line for years to come and the type of player I think we are definitely lacking if Trac isn't up forward. All the talk is about who we've lost in the midfield with Brayshaw obviously being the one that really hurts. Outside of that, Dunstan was insurance at best, Harmes was cooked and JJ (who I do like) didn't really have any standout attributes and was constantly on the fringe. We've been able to pick up Windsor, Kolt and Brown who all look talented and add speed and class to the mix as well as Billings who is a senior body and adds some polish to the forward 50 entries. We also have Woey and Laurie who are ready to take a jump although, clearly not near the calibre of Gus. Although the 4 coming in are unproven and the Brayshaw loss really does sting, it's not all doom and gloom and there's a number of viable options to collectively step up and cover. Looking forward to a great year, up the Dees!

Salem is so so vital for us & must stay fit. His kicking is elite. Good to score 15 goals and see different players score. But gee frustrated not to have kozzie next week

Geez I know it was only a glimpse but Tholstrup has the makings of a dominant midfield beast in future years.

The Demons had total control of the practice match against the Blues taking out the honours and running out victors in the scorching heat by 38 points at Ikon Park. Max Gawn was outstanding as the Dees had 10 separate goal scorers and took 21 marks inside 50.

How hard is it to send someone from the club down to Tweet the scores and general play? Relying on Carlton to do it for us is simply ridiculous.

So if pre season games mean something according to some, we're currently flag favourites now. Fwd connection was marvelous besides maybe 2-3 times. Pressure was amazing. Our disposal was actually very good. Caleb Windsor wow. For those saying Kozzie isn't up to it in the middle did you open your eyes today? Him and Salem bring a different dynamic at stoppages. Also Viney has no chill. Pre season game or not.

If we can get games like that out of Sparrow this season we’re laughing. Lots to like tonight, we will miss Kozzie next week, but others need to step up in his absence.

I’m delighted for Matty. He’s such a sweet kid, I love him. I know I say that about all the young kids but I have a soft spot for Matty since he helped me at the KB BBQ last year - and because we share the same birthday, a few years apart of course. Don’t anyone say a word! 😡

Great that Fullarton is up and about

The Dee's should be a little smarter. Demonland (DL) has a fair few 'readers' and posters. The Dee's should use DL to compliment (not relace just assist reach members/suppporters) for their communication and a little marketing. For example seats should be made available for DL updates at practice games. TheRE should be some access to players and staff for interviews during the year and after some games. Plenty of other things could be arranged. Its almost like a business who has access to a fair sized growing Data base nearby and does not use it. A good business would not let this happen. If the Dee's want an edge here it is - right under their noses. It would not be hard for the MFC to join forces and build Demonland in a real Dee's Army. My opinion only. Lets face it red hot suppoerters cant get enough Dee's information

As a young(er) demon in his mid 20s, I can say that the content the club puts up on Tik Tok and other socials doesn’t for it for me at all GWS is easily the best in that space - entertaining content that lets their fans laugh with their favourite players while also providing insight into the day to day of their club life They also post great banter with other clubs - although I recognise with our older supporter base that isn’t going to be everyone’s cup of tea Our content just seems like we’re always trying to manufacture an entertaining clip, rather than just capturing our players in their element GWS - among other clubs - also does a far better job with their more serious content. Their training, match sim and interview content goes far beyond ours in terms of length and insight If I was a Giants fan I’d feel so connected to the individual players at my club, as well as really in tune with the culture and day to day operations It’s clear we’ve got a long way to go unfortunately

We don't know what areas the club has cut resources and funding from but it seems that social media and comms likely has taken a hit. Losing Ben Gibson was huge and I don't believe they have adequately replaced him. In this day and age club comms and social media is huge in order to engage the whole supporter base. I think they are trying to engage the youth market and I don't know how successful they are with that as that content is not my cup of tea. Perhaps the kids love that stuff and it is important to engage that area of the market but in terms of real information about the footy side of things other clubs are far superior in that regard.

I have in the past. I have offered my advice/services. Never been taken up on it. Still more than happy to assist in any way I can. The club always comes first.

In fairness the average fan wouldn't even know the VFL practice game is on.... Dland fans are a bit different of course

Montagna has stuck with us the whole summer. Has always said we will be there when the whips are cracking. Loved how he threw in the bit about us spending only 2 weeks out of the Top 4 the last three seasons. Just to remind everyone about our consistency.

I get that it was only a practice game but I loved what I saw. There was definitely enough evidence to think that we can contend again. If we bring that level of intensity against the Swans we'll win. And what's more important is that Clarry looks just about match ready. It will be massive for us if he'll be able to play as soon as he can.

TMac and Jefferson played the entire game this morning, so though named in the squad tonight, I expect limited minutes, if any. Tholstrup was pulled at half-time, so good chance he gets more game time tonight. Honorable mention for Andy M-W not mentioned above - very creative and dynamic around goals. Not much for Adams to do but he took some nice intercept marks.

If everyone here is screaming out for better comms from our media dept (we know it gets read) how is it still such a low priority for the club? Arguably the best player in the league is rolling through this game after some challenges, it’s of huge interest.
