'07 TRADE TABLE & SCHEDULE.

I'd have thought we were all aware of Rivers' light frame and short stature being the only drawback to his being in the upper echelon of KPPs.

In terms of body structure Rivers is a boy compared to Maguire .

I'm not sure why you're comparing Rivers to Maguire. As far as talent, Rivers is head and shoulders above Maguire, big bodied or not big bodied!

Maguire turned 23 in May, 190 and 98kg

Rivers is 23 in October, 192cm and 90kg

Maguire could hold down Centre Half Back - and play on gorillas - allowing Rivers to use his rare ability to read the play and his overhead marking to be the third man up and be our effective defensive quarterback.

If it was a trade would not come cheap.

Henry Playfair

cant get into the cats top side would he be worth a shot:?

Playfair's game yesterday at CHB (VFL Grand Final), was pretty impressive. Probably his best position. Seems much more comfortable there than up forward. Certainly wotrh a look at. Big, strong, mobile and reasonable judgment.

Maguire- Gone (does not like Ross Lyon....because he does not rate him)

Thomas didn't either. Or at least not half as much as he rates himself.

Quote:

Either way, get him while he's cheap."

He'd be cheap for a reason- he's a 'C Grader', but people (and the big GOOOOOOSE himself) believe he's an 'A Grader' for the simple fact that James Brayshaw likes the way his nickname rolls of his tongue. Regular appearances on The Footy Show and Triple M radio can't hide the fact that he is a very, very ordinary footballer.

If the people over there at St. Kilda don't rate him, why should we?

Don't believe the hype.

I watch tons of Saints games cause the misses whole family barracks for them (except for her, converted, good girl).

Goose is a terrific player.

I'd be stoked to pick Goose put in the PSD, but couldn't be stuffed trading for him.

My big trade predictions for the Demons -

Pick 4 & 21 plus Colin Syvlia to West Coast for Chris Judd and pick 32.

Pick 37 and Jamar to Hawks for pick 30.

Pick 29 and Miller to Carlton for pick 20.

That leaves one more trade, a big name player so we can get back an early draft pick.

Robertson-Bulldogs and Johnstone-Fremantle are all that have been talked about so far.

One of those and pick 32 should get us a top ten?

If we trade Jamar obviously it becomes crucial that we take a decent ruckman in the draft, even if he only plays four games this year. Unless we're banking that Holland will provide depth for FF, FB and ruck at the same time!!

Anyway, Ben McEvoy, COME ON DOWN!

That would be one of... six, seven, draft picks, most of which would be around the 60+ pick (So you know, Bruce, Hird, that sort of player) even after you allow for Bode.

My draft preferences still lean towards Rance & McEvoy, come what may.

My whole family are saints supporters, except me of course, and goose is the big bodied kpp we need, he is also a good long kick of the footy. With him in the team we can give frawley the time he needs to bulk up and bring him in for carrol in 2 years

Cameron Wood / Adcock -

Adcock finished third in the best and fairest in his breakthrough season of 2005 when he played every game out of defence.

But his career temporarily stalled last season when he managed just eight games because of a quad muscle injury.

Ruckman Cameron Wood's future remains unclear.

The Lions want to keep him but are prepared to trade to give him greater opportunities elsewhere.

Any interclub movement across the whole league is in limbo until West Coast skipper Chris Judd decides where he will play next year.

The Age reported today that Melbourne have offered John Meesan a contract and he has asked to be traded to the demons.

Adelaide CEO and recruiting manager have announced that they will try to broker a deal with the demons to get Meeson to us.

20 yr old ruckman- pick 8 in 2004 draft.

he has loads of ability. 2006 playing 1st ruck at Norwood showed huge amounts of promise.

at the start of 2007 when biglands went down injured it was believed he would take over ruck duties at senior level, however he was injured in round 1 for 10 weeks, and by the time he got back to fitness Maric and Griffen had gone past him.

he is a little bit of a risk, bc no guerentee he will become a number 1 ruck, but most cost too much at all, and could turn out to be an absolute steal.

I like it. Younger and better than Jamar. Thing is, what do we have to give Adelaide? Please not Davey.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
