Fantastic news. Bowey next please.

Awsome news. Keep that Disco dancing indeed. Recon we'll see some great moves from him and XT over the next few years.

Stepped it up a notch by staying fit and on the park throughout 2025, but I feel he still has plenty of new levels to go, particularly if we can build a tight defensive unit around him and fix up the rest of our game so the backs aren't consistiantly under so much pressure to defend the scoreboard.

Think he has genuine smarts and wepons as a swing man forward when needed and I hope Kingy is more open to throwing around the magnets to sneak a goal here or there and break the game up a bit.

Might have played it smart to wait until after the trade and draft period and perhaps we've front loaded and thrown in a few extra dollars next season with what was freed up from Trac sooking off to the GC.

Yes, agree on the future captaincy.

His involvement in the Max/May incident was instinctive (I reckon) and showed leadership coming out from a young man.

Plus, 12 months ago he stated that he wanted to become a leader in the 2024 camp interview.

Yep I’m gonna be the negative Nellie by saying that contracts seemingly mean nothing anymore…….🤪

Oh what fun it is to ride a 405 horsepower Ford Ranger Raptor

Dashing through the snow…

Seriously though good luck to the young bloke thoroughly deserved.

Only while the player wants DD. The system is weighted too much in the player favour. The AFL is scared someone will take to it court on restrictive trade so they leen in the players favour. It won't change.

Albury lad represent!

Well done disco.

It means currency.

If Disco stays on the same trajectory he will be awesome for us , funny but I have noticed that Disco and Luker Kentfield have similar tough looking body types, when you add in Langford, Culley, Taylor and Onley they have added a height advantage and all look like footballers. Here’s hoping that these six can all fire for us.

We picked Turner in the Mid Season Draft and what a jewel he has become by development and hard work.

Why was it the mid-season draft and not the national draft? Was he overlooked in the previous national draft or was he not in that pool of potential draftees for some reason (eg, injury? under age?)

Great vote of confidence in him by Kingy

When was his contract due to expire.?

I have a feeling this will be Disco's breakout year where he establishes himself as a core player. Now is his time to step up to another level.

This guy's sureness and the consistency he showed this year was probably the biggest positive for the year (alongside Langford showing us he'll be an A grader).

About to turn 24 in Jan and hit his prime years. I wouldn't be surprised if he's wearing an AA jacket at the end of next season or the next few.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.
