Always did. I used to do 50-60 days a year at Hotham or Falls from Melb inevitably via Milawa or Gapsted (and others). Met (is it Ben?) from Bright Brewery way back when he was starting out (fellow snowboarder). Bunnings up here stocked his stuff for a short period recently which was a treat.

cheese too!

Up in the northern rivers now so those days are sadly gone

You know your stuff ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜‰

Yep: the old 'GW' has made two years necessary now to get that number of certain days of snow...

Did anyone attend the clinic this afternoon?

That's a rather personal question, Kev.

Love the 7th photo of Bowzer telling the kid off for being a filth supporter ๐Ÿ˜

I liked the shot of Langford ordering that same kid off the field, and the shot of Taylor about to rumble with that bigger than average kid.

I also liked that most of those kids seemed to be taller than Bowser.

Guy Rigoni territory, isn't it?

Iโ€™m pretty sure Guy Rigoni was at the Myrteful pub on mad Monday after his season was over and wouldnโ€™t answer his phone so Melbourne called his old man who drove to the pub, picked him up and drove him to play for Sandringham days later where he was best on ground despite his poor preparation.

The rest is history he was a gun we could do with him now.

As a matter of interest, does the AFL or the club decide where these community camps are held? As a follow up and possibly related question, do we have any particular affiliation with this part of Victoria?

Yes, it's closer to the snowfields.

Spargo, who?

Donโ€™t disrespect OUR PREMIERSHIP player even though he has hopped off to the Kangaroos.

I wouldn't be surprised if the comment were tongue in cheek. Anyway Spargo wouldn't be welcome at training now, even if he lived next door.

  • NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round

Finally the 2026 AFL Premiership Season is upon us. While Melbourne sits out Opening Round, there is still plenty of footy to enjoy with five non-MFC clashes to kick off the new season. It all begins on Thursday night with a blockbuster at the SCG as Sydney hosts Carlton in what should be a strong early test for both sides. On Friday night, Gold Coast gets its chance to open the season in front of a home crowd when the Suns and Christian Petracca take on Geelong at People First Stadium. Saturday features a double-header, starting in the afternoon with Greater Western Sydney and Clayton Oliver meeting the Hawks at Engie Stadium. That is followed on Saturday night by Brisbane Lions hosting the Western Bulldogs at the Gabba, with the Lions embarking on their campaign to win the Threepeat. Opening Round wraps up on Sunday night at the MCG, where St Kilda takes on Collingwood in the only game in town in the first week of the season. There is no shortage of storylines across the round, so discuss all the action from the non-MFC games of Opening Round.

With just over two weeks until their opening match of the 2026 AFL Premiership season, the Demons are already well on the path to redemption and have the Saints firmly in their sights ahead of their mid-March clash at the MCG. What do you think the team will look like when they run out on to the G?
