Great news. Hopefully this is the first of more players to join.

Who would have thought that throwing obscene sums of money at Tom De Koning and Jack Silvagni might upset current, valued players at the Saints 😁

but can he kick?

Can Josh Dunkley? A solid defensive big bodied mid is also what we need in the future while Langford, Lindsay, Kozi & Windsor get to work. Our 23 needs more quality, and less fringe. To rise up the ladder faster

This is a huge get if true.

Our midfield will become significantly more balanced with him in there.

Not sure what it’ll mean to some of our existing stocks though.

Is Rivers bound to HB? Does McVee get out of defence ? What do we do with Spaz and Viney? Is Trac traded or become a permanent forward? And then there’s Clarry. Big questions but it’s good that we are mixing things up.

As long as we’re not getting another one paced ball butcher with no composure in big moments I’m all for it..we already have enough of those

I hope this gets done, but find it hard to believe we attract players without a coach?

Beggars can’t be choosers, and I’d happily take more of this quality non power forward

We have a list manager. And all that goes with it.

You can’t pick them up at Coles

A good player that’s getting better by the game.

Comprehensively beat Kozze in the Alice game that sunk our season. We need a player to quell the opposition’s midfield star such as Ed Richards who willed the Dogs over the line against us.

Settle petal.. It's just ONE rumour about ONE player regarding ONE position f f s .

Let's lets the silly season play out. Who knows who get shaken from tree ??

Now get back to your other considerations... like what to do with all that 'malt' 😉

Tis early days Mr Fence

Season 2 Agree GIF by Paramount+

I’m a YES if he’s truly available

Let’s get it done.

Windhager would be a massive addition to our midfield. Probably trade out Sparrow if he’s added.

  • PREVIEW: Fremantle

The dominant storyline coming out of Round One for Saturday Night’s clash at Optus Stadium centres on the influence of the big men. The spotlight naturally falls on two elite ruckmen who, five years ago, shared the stage in Melbourne’s memorable premiership triumph.

  • NON-MFC: Round 02

The compromised AFL fixture will get another test this week with the first lot of teams getting a bye after only two matches. Despite this Round 2 starts off with two cracking games as the Hawks host the Swans at the G on Thursday Night and then on Friday Night the Crows host the Bulldogs at Adelaide Oval. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • THE STATS FILES: St. Kilda

As part of the effort to trim the runtime of the regular podcast, we’ve been looking at which segments could be reshaped without losing what makes them valuable. One segment that naturally came into focus was Binman’s Stats Files. Not because it isn’t important; quite the opposite. It’s become such a substantial and much-loved part of the show that it deserves a little room to breathe.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.

Never in doubt!!! In Steven King’s first game at the helm of the Melbourne Football Club, the Dees outlasted Saints in a wild, momentum-swinging thriller at the MCG, running out 13-point winners.
