AFLW: Rd 03 vs Collingwood

That's five frees to Collingwood within two minutes, resulting in two set shots, in an attempt to get them over the line. Fortunately they missed.

Is that 6 frees to Cwood in 90 seconds??

Outrageous!

Great W

That last minute had some wildly were soft frees. Though we also did everything we could to lose that

Disgusting umpiring. W as rigged as the men's.

great win considering the umps did everything they could to help pies get across the line

what rubbish umpiring. Their needs to be a official complaint from the club

I’m finally on the bandwagon. An awesome never give up attitude…by the umps.

Wow the umps / AFL tried their best to win that one for the filth and still failed!!

They even through in a 50 but ignored Collingwood player running straight through Hore's protected zone with no oppo in sight that she mightve been chasing

Poor performance. Move on. Won ugly but got over the line. Think of the LEARNINGS people!!!!!

The biggest learning is that the AFL don't like seeing a percentage over 500, so they try to rig games against us.

I’ve seen some set ups for Collingwood to win

Much like the whole 2023 final series

But this game was another level of umpiring incompetence they couldn’t hide their intent to gift Collingwood a win

Absolutely ridiculous umpiring... Figures that blatant favouritism of Collingwood by the AFL is the one instance where the AFL treats the AFLM and AFLW the same.

On a related note, commentators were "one-Pied"/one-eyed all day. I know we need fans from a large club like Collingwood to get behind the AFLW to help increase eyeballs on the sport, but it is as nauseating as always!

OK I've just looked at that final free. It was there. However that one previously in the back was not.

Anyway we got the points. Hore fantastic as usual, Hanks just does what Hanks does, harris took some great marks & I thought rigoni fitted in brilliantly.

Hopefully, Heath is OK.

But we beat Collingwood & hopefully that's not the only time Collingwood lose this week

Our greater class got us over the line.

hanks excellent, hore superb and kicked a couple of captains goals

harris competed hard as did the rest of the team

And i hate the sight of collingwood so great to get one over them for once

go dees

A few positives I thought on an ordinary day. Rigoni looked comfortable at the level and thought O’Hehir had her best game. Wotherspoon and Mahony did some good things too. Badly lacked run and connection today with key running players missing. Looked a bit tall too on a greasy day.

Just a small 217 drop in percentage. Was always coming at some stage I guess.

Dees defeat Pies & Umpires by 4 points

Brave win!!

Under strength team missing 6-7 best team players and Heath out of the game

Umps clearly biased … clearly!!!

Kate Hore is a star

TAYLA Harris 👏👏👏

  • CASEY: Richmond

The winds finally returned to Casey Fields for the Demons’ third home game of the VFL season, and its impact was immediate. After two opening rounds played in uncharacteristically fine conditions, the Anzac Day clash brought back the familiar gusty conditions that have been a feature of the region at this time of the year.
Forced to kick into the breeze first, the slow-starting Demons faced a tricky opening against an enthusiastic young Tigers outfit. Casey responded by turning the contest into a scramble, pressuring Richmond into errors and missed targets. The tactic proved crucial, keeping the game tight for three and a half quarters before the Demons pulled away with the autumn wind at their backs.

  • REPORT: Richmond

It seemed as if the whole purpose of the Anzac Eve clash at the MCG between the Demons and the Tigers was building toward that single, unforgettable moment when Kozzie Pickett soared above Campbell Gray and all but fittingly etched his name onto the face of the 2026 Frank ‘Checker’ Hughes Medal.
