Yes! Brandy and soda on ice with a dash of lime juice.

Youโ€™ve had enough, weโ€™re cutting you off. Time to go home, Virgil.

Doesnt seem we are trying new things at the selection table which is fine. Id love to knock off the hawks and pies to give the club some confidence into 2026.

On field, saw some newer things last week on field with Chaplin. Gawn and Langford both pushed forward more, Seems he's trying to address our biggest weakness of marks i50. Had Salem in for a couple of cbas. Dont mind that but hope he gives Rivers and maybe Chandler a run in there also.

Hawks are bloody good forward of the ball and particularly inside 50s. They dont stop moving and create space very well. They dont have a player in the top 50 of player ratings but pushing for top 4. Sign of a very well coached team.

Club have erred badly by not playing Jeffo, Kentfield, Laurie,Woey and Brown, season cooked see what they offer for 2026. This club has been too conservative for too long. I would have dropped Petty, Van Rooyen. Mc Vee Viney and Chandler!

Bloody goody and his love for sharp.

Maybe (work with me here ...), selection choices weren't just down to Goodwin?

Selections: not just Goodwin.

When you keep posting trash you have to expect a build up of bin juice at the bottom.

Season is far from done Picket

we can throw a serious spanner in the works for both Hawks and pies in our last 2 games. I want to put our best team out and try to win both.

i'm actually dreaming we beat the pies and knock them out of finals.

Ummm. No. Certainly Petty McVee Chandler and JVR are part of the future. Viney as vice captain was also very good in last few weeks. His tackling will be needed in the contest.

Why bring logic into a discussion with this poster

I'm pretty sure we've tried Sharp enough times already and have seen what he can contribute (very little).

How are we possibly worse off by having a look at Brown or Woewodin at this stage of the season?

Also, not sure if it has been mentioned earlier, but congratulations to Harry Petty on reaching 100 games this week.

It has been a long road to get there, but his last few weeks have been solid. Hopefully he can have a big 2026.

i remember RDB saying that john kennedy when rdb coached carlton as playing coach

Maybe we dont pay our players enough $24mil for a 20 year old ,he can play but is still unproven .Our game will implode on its self one day

That would wear out my mouse button.

2 games left, who wins the club leading goalkicker

Pickett - 37.28
Fritsch - 33.27
Melksham - 31.20

Will Fritsch finally be de-throned.

Exactly.

And I don't really understand the knock on selecting who Chaplin and the selection panel think will give us the best chance of beating the hawks.

I for one have suffered thru enough losses to the Hawks and the very last thing I want to see is a bunch of b graders been given a run for [censored] and giggles and to 'see what they've got to offer'.

If they haven't forced their way into the team by now thru sustained excellence we know the answer to that question.

And besides I also don't get the knock on the idea of ensuring Casey have the very best chance of beating Box Hill Hawks.

Casey going deep in the VFL finals, hopefully even winning a flag would, for all sorts of reasons, be a real fillup for the club, particularly if we alsi have a good start to the AFLW season.

Oh alright, if nobody else can be bothered.

May in for Adams (omitted) and Sharp in for Windsor (injured) as widely predicted.

Luke Bruest Breust has announced that he won't be going around again next year.

And will no doubt kick 5 or more against us to celebrate

Not that i'm judging on one week's performance but imv Viney was a liability for much of the game last week along with Sparrow.

I reckon the odd Brown dog wouldn't have hurt on the short breaks to manage Viney on some of the short turnarounds this season.

Same with Max on the odd short turnaround (TC).

The FD has not 'managed / protected' its older seniors brigade all that well over the last three seasons imv. With some exceptions.

There's alot more to the decision than just 'a new voice'. What a dumbass bunch the AFL press are (again with a few exceptions)

Agreed. If the media believe this, then they havenโ€™t been watching up play for the past few years.

Huge benefits for playing out the year with our strongest side

  • Essendon death ride, who wants to give them a decent pick?

  • Experience - these final games will be against contenders trying to get into their best form the year. Treat them like 'finals' so our younger brigade can get some insight into that step up in intensity.

  • New coach: Some of these players will be needing to justify their positions in the squad next year, some just want to impress as many potential coaches as possible

  • Spite - would love to mess both the Hawks and Pies

Kozzie just but he seems to be slowing down these last 2-3 weeks. Maybe he has one last bag left in him.

Could see Fritta landing on 38 and Kozzie on 39.

Melskham looks tired if the last quarter of last week's an indiction.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmyโ€™s inclusive bannerโ€”"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwoodโ€™s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.ย

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecastโ€”20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze โ€” expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kateโ€™s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwoodโ€™s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
