i don;t know where the inspiration is coming from today

worst conversion rate in the league. same old story

Playing kick to kick with each other across the back line. Bloody pathetic football

Such a frustrating game and what I think will end up being another loss.

It drives me nuts they way we play sometimes.

Probs another loss next week too. So infuriating. 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

Isn’t it funny how most weeks our opposition are complete sharp shooters and never miss, we are bloody cursed when it comes to goal kicking

Remarkable

Maybe to do with shooting from the boundary whilst we get torched on the rebound. Saints goals mainly from 25m range

Obviously the club need the money but this ground is a disaster for the club.

In all seriousness, our lack of genuine ball users is beyond frustrating; as is our inability to defend the rebound and turnover when it’s moved through the centre.

soft turnovers

We are giving them possession by atrocious decision making when kicking inside F50, or just poor skills. I am so enraged I keep getting up walking away from the TV for 2 minutes, ranting to myself only to return to the TV because I can't &*%$ing help myself.

Can't we just play the game well?

Do something Simon, do something put Kozzie Full Forward for a spell.

Chip 12 metre to no one. No one [censored]. [censored]. FYCK

With the wind a very very low percentage shot from that side of the ground, it was the right ideal, just a really-poor kick.

I don't think we get it today. Some of the skill errors look pathetic. They're out on they're feet.

Such a shame we started with 5 losses because these losses were always going to come

Also while I love the community work the club does up there, playing in Alice Springs each year is a serious competitive disadvantage

Yep

Forwards should practice two hours per week goal kicking under all scenarios.

Elementary you'd think

After three years I doubt it will happen.

Anyway we are still in it. If we kick straight and stop turning it over in the middle.

Lever bought back too soon. Not ready.

Coaches have done their homework. Nullify Kozzie and Melksham and we can't kick goals.

Maybe Tracc at full fwd.

I don't know.

Swap Petty for Disco

Leave Disco , Koz and Melk on their own i50 as much as poss

Brad Hill having a picnic out there. Even that dud Butler has kicked 4 against us. This is just beyond pathetic.

Johnson out that a positive. That dropped mark ugg.

Why hasn't Laurie been subbed in for sharp? Lever 4 kicks. Been appalling

Oliver held all day. So many players playing poorly. Salem cooked. Rivers. Well below par. Fritsch. 10m cameo

Sharp 5 kicks. Have seen enough

Coach has stagefright. Can't move

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
