We've hit the post 3-4 times today have to take chances left 5-6 goals out there today.

Need to lift intensity in the 2nd half.

Lose this and kiss the season good bye.

Those who think Salem is worth a spot in the side are kidding themselves. He is a liability when there is pace in the game, too busy trying to take the easy option.

Like a few of our premiership players, heโ€™s very rapidly gone off post 2021. Very regularly shirks contact now as well.

You're right. There's players like May (early), Langdon, McVee and even Clarrie who aren't switched on.

Sharp - good sub but can he start a game. We may never know about Laurie.

Wondered where maggot 8 had been hiding

Yes but almost worth playing him forward and Petty Back!

What planet are you on picket?

Turner is our key back for the next 10 years. The worst thing we can do for his career is to keep swinging him forward, back, forward, back

Not sure why people are having a crack at Healyโ€™s commentary. He clearly thinks we are the better side and should win. Like us, I think heโ€™s found our uneven effort after working so hard over the last month confounding. I agree with him.

Is it my imagination or has Lingers been super quiet?

75% of the side are passengers today

17 players with 7 touches or less. Only 3 players have touched it 10x or more

Ffs pull your collective fingers out

If Windsors role was to play off HB, he is failing miserably. We donโ€™t use his pace nor does he have the HB running patterns to break lines.

U mean 22 Hayden I hate Dees Williamson

we're only 13 points down

we can win this but we have to kick straight. we've missed 3 very gettable goals that half. can't afford to miss any more gimme's

30 seconds to go and Max chooses to kick across goal. WTAF!!!

NormSmith would drag him.

Weโ€™re in this, despite our abysmal patches of footy and poor kicking. Weโ€™d actually be even/in front if we kicked straight.

Just need to come out and play good, honest, accountable footy.

Hopefully the boys get a rocket to set them up for the second half.

Kozzie (among others of course), needs a lift. Heโ€™s been incredibly poor.

Not capable of blanketing an opponent either. Has Dan [censored] Butler had a kick since 2020? Jeez

Our work rate had been extremely poor. We reduced the score that quarter because StKIlda are mediocre aside from effort. 2 players in a half of football with more than 10 touches. We have been winning games on work rate and selfless play but they seem to have not taken either onto the plane to Alice.

Gees weโ€™d be in trouble without Turner.

May got better that Q thank god

If we can stiffen up at the back and increase the intensity we should win

but thatโ€™s a big if

Came for the game day thread hysteria. Did not disappoint

Windsor had had 6 kicks. 4 off his left side where he has awkwardly kicked with his right. Gotta be moved

Windsorโ€™s getting pulled back and out of the play and the Saints have capitalised on it.

A decade playing at this [censored] hole and we still donโ€™t understand the wind.

F this game off.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecastโ€”20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze โ€” expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kateโ€™s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwoodโ€™s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isnโ€™t a standard conceptโ€”itโ€™s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking. ย We filled our boots with percentage โ€” now a whopping 520.7% โ€” and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourneโ€™s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasnโ€™t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's ย six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his teamโ€™s unfulfilled potential rang true โ€ฆ well, almost.ย
