I don’t think Freo fans will mind the talk of Jackson leaving if it allows them to get Kossie and Chad Warner.

Trade and free agency period is another thing for another time. Right now I'm happy for any potential distractions to aid their 2025 cause.

I would do that trade but would want a top 10 pick as well

If we could do that, it would be a steal

If Dogga came back, he can't have #6 back.

I seem to have a thing for whoever's in #6.

(Who had it before Dogga?)

This would be profoundly immature and achieve what exactly?

Take the spotlight off Kozzy. Its pretty obvious.

Clubs have a lot to do with leading stuff to the media. Collingwood re:Trac; Geelong re: Oliver and Freo re: Kozzy are all examples from last year. Its about time we grow a backbone and respond.

I know the obvious would be to trade Kozzy. But to me i'd want something coming back our way given the size of LJ's contract we would have to take on.

Alternative scenarios:

McVee and our Future First for Jacko and Freo's 2nd. Throw in McAdam's for good measure.

Riv, JVR not for sale.

Don't really get the logic there. The immediate thought from basically everyone was Kozzy for Jackson. If anything the spotlight is intensified.

It's possible we leaked that we're courting him but that's totally different to just making the entire thing up. Like the Trac and Oliver stories last year were clearly not made up. You're also assuming that it's clubs leaking all this stuff and not the players representation or the players themselves.

Jordan Lewis had it before Dogga and before JL, it was Chris Dawes.

Grundy inherited the #6 from Dogga for one season before Windsor took over.

I’d send Rivers off and keep knuckles, Judd is much more valuable in my eyes.

I have a bad feeling Jackson has already been invited to house-sit for Bailey Smith.

And I know he'll sign on the moment I mention this, but how about a clean sweep of trading for Jackson and grabbing Brayshaw in Free Agency.

Next step is surely to start pumping out the gossip about Freo's culture. Possibly a falling out over the length of Shai Bolton's Wikipedia page. Seriously, there's more on Shai Bolton than Alexander Humboldt.

I can definitely see that clashing with humble achiever Brayshaw.

I get that, but if we think Kosi is gone LJ is better than any combination of picks we might get. Plus it would mean JVR never has attend centre bounces.

lets see how those comments age

The comments may age terribly albeit they were made at half time in reaction to watching the boys bang on a whopping 15 points by half time in their first official match of the year while LJ was starring.

I'm not as confident as others that we'll be a consistent finals team year in year out, but Jackson would be a great get.

Jacko and his mother.

Such disrespectful language.

Sorry, if the choice was between trading McVee or Rivers, I’d keep McVee.

This was in response to someone suggesting a trade of McVee

  • REPORT: Brisbane

“Max Gawn has been the heart and soul of the Dees for years now, but this recent recovery from a terrible start has been driven by him. He was everywhere again, and with the game in the balance, he took several key marks to keep the ball in the Dees forward half.” - The Monday Knee Jerk Reaction: Round Ten Of course, it wasn’t the efforts of one man that caused this monumental upset, but rather the work of the coach and his assistants and the other 22 players who took the ground, notably the likes of Jake Melksham, Christian Petracca, Clayton Oliver and Kozzie Pickett but Max has been magnificent in taking ownership of his team and its welfare under the fire of a calamitous 0-5 start to the season. On Sunday, he provided the leadership that was needed to face up to the reigning premier and top of the ladder Brisbane Lions on their home turf and to prevail after a slow start, during which the hosts led by as much as 24 points in the second quarter. Titus O’Reily is normally comedic in his descriptions of the football but this time, he was being deadly serious. The Demons have come from a long way back and, although they still sit in the bottom third of the AFL pack, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel as they look to drive home the momentum inspired in the past four or five weeks by Max the Magnificent who was under such great pressure in those dark, early days of the season.

  • CASEY: Southport

The Southport Sharks came to Casey. They saw and they conquered a team with 16 AFL-listed players who, for the most part, wasted their time on the ground and failed to earn their keep. For the first half, the Sharks were kept in the game by the Demons’ poor use of the football, it’s disposal getting worse the closer the team got to its own goal and moreover, it got worse as the game progressed. Make no mistake, Casey was far and away the better team in the first half, it was winning the ruck duels through Tom Campbell’s solid performance but it was the scoreboard that told the story.
